i find this entire game extremely easy when played as the SNES version on an emulator.. but thats only because the emulator i use (zsnes) has a speed up setting which works wonders when you have a class with a skill that would work amazing with another class. pretty much i spent about 15-30 mins right outside the fire crystal area holding down the speed up button and running back and forth holding the a button and just speed grinding enemies till i got the skills i wanted.. though it is cheating
@Mavelm Yeah, grinding does make the series stupidly easy - I remember in Final Fantasy 6, theres a point on the PS1 version that you could do an infinite loop, leave it all day, and all your characters would be level 30-40 thanks to the auto level balance - except for Locke, who was never given the opportunity for that, so he was a big party feature for a while.
what made this an easy battle was having a white mage that knows blue mage skills, a time mage, and two other blue mages.
Spam Magic Hammer on Atomos, cast haste on your whm then barrier, use whitewind to keep everyone alive, barrier as soon as you can to everyone, and then continue picking off his mp with magic hammer 'til he can't do squat anymore. I spammed comet on him after he was out of mana, so satisfying
Very true, a Blue Mage is fantastic for this fight, but unfortunately I chose not to use one this run, and wanted to go for the normal route with minimal changes to your line-up - I'll keep that in mind for next time I play the game!
I beat him pretty fast. It wasn't hard but I did it.

@KayoteThunder He can be beaten quickly, but for some reason, he always seems to give me trouble...
