  • Blessed Love I-lord, from the mountains of Wales to the I. I-man have yet to travel to Ifrica but we the ones with knowledge regardless of if we are black, white, yellow or brown proclaim ourselves to be African, and we know this word to be revealing because African is A free can and from your free to can you can't captive to can't

  • So well executed!!!

  • Jamiacans are not ashantis. Ashantis were great slave traders & few were captured. In the caribbean, our ancestors were mainly from Bight of Calabar (igbo), mainy of coastal ppl from Gold Coast (fante, Ewe, GA & others in the hinterland of present day Ashanit land,ie., those caputured by Ashanti). French controlled mainly Dahomey & took mainly slaves during the fall of Yoruba Oyo Empire ( Yoruba customs in Trini, St Lucia, Cuba). Let us knw our history! One Love!

  • @24Cenac Whether "Igbo", "Ashanti", or "Yoruba", coincidently they're ALL of a Hebraic derivative who fulfill Scripture having endured the pangs of Egypt (bondage) AGAIN.

  • Black stars shine the brightest!

  • Respect man...from montreal canada...im spreading the world the 3 dialect I know....french..english and within the all mighty but sadly mis guided children of HAITI!!!!

Much love respect to all my black people no matter the language you speak of country they tell you you from!!

Remember dat we still are from the same place...

  • I think you are right,

    He was a powerful man

    Sadly forgotten.

    Spread the word

  • Nah hes not forgotten. Hes a hero in alot of different countries.

  • why did Marcus Garvey applied for US Citizenship after he already established the GO BACK TO AFRICA MOVEMENT?

  • garvey's movement was not a back to africa movement. read some of his writings and you'll find that out.

  • Blessed love, Yes My Lord Garvey´s movement it´s a back to Africa movement. Remember the words of the Prophet: "Don´t change an island for a continet", "Africa for the African, those at home and us abroad" Marcus I Selassie I Jah Rastafari

    Hon Priest Federico

    EABIC

  • i think he advocated the eventual return of black people to Africa, but more important to him was the brotherhood of black people across the world. He wanted black people to recognize Africa as the mother land for sure, but he wasn't saying that all black people should go back to Africa, at least not yet

  • why has he got the flag of ghana in jamaica

  • Thats The Colours of Africa.

  • the colors of africa are red black and green

  • thats the unia colors, red black and green

  • Because this is at a Bobo Shanti settlement in Jamaica. Shanti is derived from Ashanti. They see themselves as Ashanti, the biggest tribe in Ghana (Jamaicans are direct descendants of Ghanaian slaves), to identify themselves as true Africans. That's probably why the have so many Ghanaian flags hanging arround. But the colors are originally those of the Ethiopian flag, which were used by many African countries after their independance, because Ethiopia symbolised African freedom (never a colony).

  • yes my uncle was a great man nuff love and respect to my uncle marcus mosiah garvey and i see the colours of my country flag GHANA! nuff love and respect Xx
