Hachi sure is a bad ass. I think the one who have the power to fight Barragan was only Orihime. But Hachi took Barragan's power and killed Barragan with it. hachi put his arm with a barrier in barragan and made the barrier grow from the inside out, thus desintegrating barragan.

Barragan's power is to rot anything it touch, and that rot will continue to consume the objects until it is all gone. Hachi took sacrifice of his rotting arm, and send it in Barragan's body while he was laughing maniacally, and that arm continue to rot. Until when Barragan realized what Hachi did, he was already rotte, and he doesn't have any way to stop it. End of his story
