  • He is smart he shot the hell out of that gun. All of you safety nuts probably can't even fire a weapon so shut the fuck up.

  • If you haven't noticed, he has a left-handed AK-47. If he had a right-handed AK-47, then the shell casings would be hitting him in the face, but they aren't, so the gun is left-handed. The shooter is probably left-handed, which isn't suprising, because only 90% of all people are left-handed.

  • @WaroWari And sir, where'd you get your statistics?

  • @chanchiem

oh my bad. what i meant to say is that 10% of people are leftys, 90% of people are rightys.

so its suprising to find a lefty, but not really

  • Just a man shooting an AK..

  • wat ak 47 is that one?

  • omfg! ive never seen so much wrecklessness -_-

  • I always enjoy shooting my AK,but not any more since i took an arrow in the knee...

  • Greencaslte...great free range, especially for the very liberal Johnson county. Love to shoot there!

  • Incredibly dumb... lol

  • what's so dumb about that?

  • All in all I'd say he's doing a pretty good job of controlling the weapon. AK's tend to jump at the muzzle, but he's keeping it steady. I can only imagine that it's a 5.45x39mm he's shooting...which would explain the low recoil.

  • @alternatehistories looks like the 7.62 model... actually looks exactly like my WASR

  • @alternatehistories

Looks like regular 7.62X39 recoil to me. It has a Slant brake on it, which would be better named a compensator. All the slant break does is control muzzle climb.

  • I guess I don't see the point to this. I see nothing stupid or dumb about this. He is left handed (as I am). He is shooting an AK. Big deal that he has his elbow out. The only thing that I can see would be the camera angle being in front of the rifle. That could be dangerous, but I don't see the point of making fun of him.

  • @leathermarshmallow Both the shooter and the Camera man arent too bright. A Shooter needs be aware of his target and surrounds and the Camera guy, well why stand infront of a rifle?

  • @ShaiqNBaiq5464 ur an idiot dud hes even on the opposite side of were the rounds come form retard

  • Damn, put that elbow down before you take someones eye out.

  • where is this shooting range @

  • I feel like I know where this firing range is....

  • Why argue over nothing?

  • he's left handed you dumb ass

  • People disagree that he is stupid = dislike

  • AK 47 ejects brass forward, you can see it in the video, so it doesn't really matter if he's left handed.

  • bitch

  • I would have thought the person shooting the video was a bit silly for standing in front of a bloke with a loaded assault rifle.

  • @jimmyjazz240 id call it on the side.

  • @airmatt86 If you think that's a safe spot to be filming a clown with a LMG then I'm afraid to say, that you are a bigger dickhead than he is.

  • @jimmyjazz240 yo seem mad, did you have a rough week?

  • @airmatt86 Not at at all, I just don't understand how you think that isn't very dangerous.

  • @airmatt86 You're never supposed to stand anywhere in the 180 degree plane to the front of a shooter when on a firing range. Most ranges will absolutely not allow that, but I get the feeling that this one is far enough in the middle of nowhere for rules like that to not be considered.

  • Just cuz he has glasses doesnt make him smart and what's the point of this video I thought the recoil of the AK was gonna put him on his ass but I guess not

  • i dont get it whys he stupid???

thumbs down for anti gun folks

  • i dont get it whys he stupid???

  • whats up with the dislikes?

  • why are there so many dislikes?

  • oh come on... if he wearing Eyeglasses its not mean that he is smart!

  • so what the fuck is wrong with the video ????????

  • Hey, if you like rounds ejecting into your face-- if grease and carbon from the chamber and gas system spraying into your eyes and coating your glasses is your thing, if hot gasses and smoke against your cheek are what you like, then shoot as this person does.

Intelligence? There is no way to truly know.

  • @Cougiaurmeh

Used the RK (AK clone) left handed during my service = no shells/grease/gas/smoke on my eyes or face. Never..

  • get that elbow down.

  • yeah most casings shoot out almost 90 degrees and a little to the rear, my AR wouldn't be a problem left handed.. The only issue you MIGHT have, in respect to wind, would be the gun powder blocking your vision or choking you while you breathe it in. On the plus side, you could always observe how well different ammo loads into the barrel with each round, and instantly know of any jams

  • how is he incredibly smart?

  • @danraich at the end of the video he tried to pull the magazine out of the rifle insted of pulling the mag release

  • if you watch closely, you can see the poor guy in the back getting pelted with hot brass

  • What was wrong with what just happened.

  • Who do I see about getting my 29 seconds back?

  • Mm... very smart, indeed

  • You should name it incredibly smart man stands in front of his friend while he's shooting a rifle.

  • Wheres the knowledge in this video?

  • did anyone see a single shell hit his face? no, so shut the fuck up.

  • BRILLIANT!!

  • thats an AKM

  • incrediby smartt ass with short pans...

  • awww the title made me think you were gonna do somthin stupid...what a rip off....lol

  • He is an idiot because he is shooting a right handed eject weapon from his left shoulder... not only putting hot ejected brass towards his face but the charging handle is probably inches from popping him in the mouth and knocking out some of his teeth.

  • @kazacomy

The AR and AK platform can be fired perfectly fine if you're a lefty.

  • He doesn't look that smart..

  • i think that hes an idiot because he's using glasses..

  • Maybe because the shooter has a sick chickenwing?

  • Yeah, what an idiot! shooting left handed like that... who does that?

  • That's an AK-M.

  • i would like to point out an AK can be a nice rifle, and it runs dirty, but you have to clean it, and yeah, the accuracy isnt as good as an AR but buy what you want with your money, harp on someone elses gun to be a troll makes you an idiot

  • AR-15's are for homosexuals and AK-47's are for camel jockeys. This is a scientifically proven fact.

  • @kaygeeboi And how, pray tell, would one find this so called scientifically proven fact

    ...Stupid democrat...

  • @CAPCadetAwesome You must be a homosexual. You mad brah? You jealous?

  • @kaygeeboi Nope, straight as a board, and i would suggest not making those comments to an armed person, huh, afraid of my "evil black rifle" now democrat punk?

  • @kaygeeboi You know what, instead of arguing with you, im just going to turn a blind eye, because troll fags like you get off on insulting and arguing with people who are more intelligent than them. why? cuz you trolls are just jealous fags who like to feel more important than everyone else and think they should get everything they want given to them, instead of WORKING for it like EVERY OTHER HUMAN BEING IN EXISTANCE

  • @CAPCadetAwesome You done? Do you feel better?

  • @CAPCadetAwesome you sound like the troll lol.

  • Kudos to the shooter, seriously, I saw very little muzzle climb so unless he was aiming at nothing, I am sure he would of had great effect on target.

  • No doubt he's smart :D

  • If you think about it, a 5.56mm round is slightly smaller than a .22 round because a .22 round translates to 6mm(give or take a few hundreths of diameter)

  • @Hteam1422 a .22 is about 5.58mm

  • @ScopedPewPew oh well I have a blank firing derringer gun that fires .22 blank charges and on the container for the charges it says blank, 6mm, non-projectile and like I said: it's still bigger lol

  • @Hteam1422 Oh, maybe my math is off then. All I know is when I do 0.762cm (7.62mm) divide that by 2.54 (since there is 2.54centimetres in an inch) I get 0.30... And my 7.62 rounds are .30 caliber, when I do the opposite with .22.. So, .22*2.54 I get .558cm or 5.58mm. Maybe my math is off, or the box is wrong :P

Who knows, but yeah its larger

  • @ScopedPewPew yeah the people who made the box are probably just lazy lol

  • I'm still pondering why the poster of this video think that the guy shooting is an idiot.

  • @bad74maverick1 I was thinking the same thing. I mean.. he LOOKS a little... 'special', but he didnt do anything wrong. ...looked a bit awkward, but thats no crime..

  • @m4gunner25 like you said awkward. Inexperienced doesn't mean idiot and this guy does not look all that inexperienced with shooting a semi-automatic rifle. He seems at the least competent.

  • @bad74maverick1 I think its because he is shooting it left handed and a spent casing may hit him in the eye or something

  • @ScopedPewPew Yeah but I have a dominate left eye as well I was hoping that wasn't the case because I shoot left handed. What am I supposed to do I am right handed but have a dominate left eye so I naturally shoot better with my left. I'm not bragging here but I have hit the 10 ring with my left hit targets with my m-1 Garand at 180 yards 1 inch left of bullseye and killed multiple deer plus other game, but if put into my right hand nothing. I hunted with a Browning A-5 it sucks but stupid?

  • @bad74maverick1 its because he is shooting a right handed gun left handed, but there is nothing wrong with that....

  • I have a dominate left eye. I do everything with my right hand.....except shoot. I hold my pistols right handed but use my left eye. if I try to shoot right handed I can't hit crap. i love my m-1 garand, most accurate gun I own but in my right hand, i might as well throw it. I guess the point I'm making is whats so weird/stupid about shooting left. No disrespect intended I don't want you to think I'm trying to spark an argument with you It's just one of those pesky questions I have

  • @bad74maverick1 im actually agreeing with you..... i dont think that its stupid. i think that the poster of the video is stupid because he probably thought it was dumb that the guy was shooting a right handed gun left handed...

  • @lamboroghini I thought you were I didn't want you to think I was arguing. I agree too.

  • It dosen't fucking matter for an AK-47. The mag ejection is right behind the magazine, and the fire selector is omniscient.

  • @Ryman120

I agree, but I think you mean ambidextrous. As in either left or right handed shooters can use it.

As a left handed shooter myself, a safety geared for righties is pretty annoying, so on when I got my first duck hunting shotgun, I looked at the Mossberg 535 because the safety is located on the grip and you change it with your thumb, which makes my life incredibly easy.

  • @Ryman120 ok look, you have no say in this. and also, that has nothing to do with this conversation. i wasnt talking about where the mag ejection button was, i am talking about where the slide kicks out the bolt. so go fuck yourself....

  • @lamboroghini Even if it mattered, i dont even know why your stating that this was suposed to be right handed only?

  • @Ryman120 i didnt say that the gun had to be right handed only.what i was saying is that he is shooting the RIGHT HANDED GUN LEFT HANDED, so he has the hot brass ejecting in his face......

  • @lamboroghini

I shoot a WASR-10 left handed, and have never gotten brass in my face.

  • @Derpderp9000 does it eject the brass out the right side of the gun?

  • @lamboroghini all AKs eject out of the right side.

  • @theDoktorZbroadcast uhh no there not i cant recall the brand but there are american made aks that eject out the left side

  • @theDoktorZbroadcast ooh well, i didnt know that. i dont own an ak... yet. and thats adding to my point, there is still brass gettin shot across your face. thats the only point i am going to state.

  • @lamboroghini i'm a lefty, and that's the luck of the draw, for left handed shooters...lest we do 1 of 2 things: switch our shooting hand(and eye), or hunt down "Leftie only" weapons.

what was a little amusing about this video, is how pops in the background, gets pissed and puts up his rifle while Mr Man, empties the AK.

  • @ahmonrah40 this is what im getting at. plain and simple... i believe that the poster of this video thought that the guy shooting the gun was stupid because the ak was ejecting the brass across his face while shooting. i was just telling bad74maverick1 that thats why i thought was the reason for the posting of the video.

  • @lamboroghini i am left handed and i own a right handed ar15, iv never once had a casing hit me in the face.. iv shot an ak47 multiple times as well and none of the brass has hit me in the face..

  • @aklane666 ok well im just saying that it could happen. and can we drop this? no offence to you, but its getting irritating to keep this going.....

  • @lamboroghini yea it could happen. i wasn't being rude just saying i don't eat brass when i shoot, hopefully it doesnt start happening lol

  • @aklane666 i wasnt saying that you were being rude... but anyways that would suck if it did start to happen :P

  • @aklane666 i too never got hit. but i think partly because we put faces further back, while orthodox shooters can comfortably rest their cheek as far front as they want. They should make more left handed guns...tsk

  • @lamboroghini I'm in the Army and I shoot my M4 left handed and my side arm is on my left leg ;)

  • @ArmyRescue2 no offence but this is an AK, not an m4 so it has no relation.

  • @lamboroghini they both eject shells on the same side? I've fired Ak-47's many times and never once had a problem shooting it left handed

  • @ArmyRescue2 my father owns an ar and ive fired ak too. just read the other comments that i posted to see what i was talking about.... i really dont fell like discussing this anymore.....

  • @bad74maverick1 He is shooting left handed.

OP is dumb fuck inbred redneck, so left handed shooters are probably retarded to him. After all, he's standing in front of a gun w/ a camera.

  • @bad74maverick1 maybe it wasnt actually sarcasm...

  • i dont get it!why is he a moron?i was waiting for him to do something dumb!

  • That's not an AK-47. AKM! (lovely gun)

  • The AK has beaten the AR (well, it's military version) in every war (not engagement, not battle, etc.) where they have faced each other (vietnam, afganistan, irak, balcans, somalia, etc.) At the end, despite winning many/most or even all battles, the guys with the AR leave in a hurry, and the guys with the AK lift their fists and rifles in victory...

  • @coldblood75 the guys with the ARs know how to spell Iraq though ;)

  • @DukeDevilRoblox touché! =)

  • @coldblood75 ha, vietnam wasnt a war, it was a conflict, we didnt win because we werent allowed to win. and the vietcong commanders knew that the m16 outmatched the ak, they had to tell their troops to get as close as possible before firing, cuz u cant hit shit with an ak past 100 yards. ide rather get headshots at 300 yards then hit nothing. ar ftw! at range, ak ftw! in CQC

  • @randallschecter nothing against the AR, I own two, I am just saying that in my opinion, a cheap, reliable, easy to clean and assemble gun outclasses a sophisticated, state-of-the-art, hi tech rifle... it has been proven over and over, most engagements take place within 100 yards nowadays, otherwise you use mortars, artillery, close air support, choppers, etc. when you are face to face with the enemy it is not about snipers anymore... BTW, Nam was in my opinion a war, you used tanks, B52s

  • @coldblood75 F-4 phantoms, tanks, lots and lots of choppers of all kinds (green giants, hueys, etc.), aircraft carriers and navy ships, satellites.... if that is not a war, then you got fooled by Nixon! =)

  • @coldblood75 you just replied to yourself lol

  • @coldblood75 I think someone released a study showing more than half the US Firefights in Afghanistan are over 500 yards, which is why the M4 has been shit and they're rolling out alot more modded M14s

  • @coldblood75 ya, they both are excellent in their own areas, i own 2 ar's and i plan on getting an ak for that reason, the ruggedness and cheap and simplicity. the politicians wouldent let us fully commit to that war/conflict. we only sent like 100k troops, we would have owned vietnam if we were allowed to send more.

  • @randallschecter tht were ur wrong m16 would jam n the ak wont even if it been cover with mud

  • @jesuscruzchuy07 na thats a stereotype, in the 60's when the m16 was first issued to our army by colt. they thought it was so advanced it didnt need to be cleaned so they didnt even bother to buy a manual or cleaning kits, thats the reason they jammed, b/c of ignorance. an ak wont jam, but neither will an m16 class rifle if properly maintained, if u dont know what ur doing u will get jams, but if u properly maintain an m16/ar15 ull never get a jam. ur wrong chuck do some research.

  • @randallschecter i dont like researching i just listen to my history professor

  • @jesuscruzchuy07 haha.

  • @jesuscruzchuy07 i hope that was sarcasm, if not you are sad.

  • @randallschecter it was

  • And People will never understand its the operator and not the gun that good or sucks. I could give you an F-22 would that make you a good pilot? NO because you don't know how to use it and most importantly you haven't practiced with it. I've been shooting guns for about 6 years now and I will tell you its all about practice and improving technique that gives good accuracy and skill, its not 5% gun 95% skill and practice

  • Thats an ak-74

  • Obviously he's retarded, he's holding that in the wrong hand.

  • thought it was stephen hawking but it'll do

  • I'm tired of the AK47 / AR15 debate...

The AK47 is an outdated obsolete piece of shit. The russians have long since replaced them with AK101/103s firing smaller, higher velocity rounds delivering the same amount of stopping power at greater ranges and with better accuracy.

There's a reason why no developed countries are still using AK47s, it was designed in fucking world war 2 era

  • @ScopedPewPew

Thank you, finally someone with a brain.

You sir, get a thumbs up.

  • @Breakneckhydra1 Thanks.

  • @ScopedPewPew AK is still one of the best guns around. Mauser rifles are older but other rifles copy the action even new one. AKs arent used so much since propaganda has shown them in the use of terriost and gangsters. AR-15 are accurate but not realible. AKs accuaracy can easily hit targets at 300 meters and thats where most firefights are. AKs are wonderful guns just has a bad name now. The AR-15 is a pussy gun though, a 5.56mm can't do shit compared to a 7.62mm. AK will last AR-15 will break.

  • @ScopedPewPew AK is still one of the best guns around. Mauser rifles are older but other rifles copy the action. • @ScopedPewPew LOL.. youre telling me that a 5.56 has the same stopping power as a 7.62?! youre out of your mind! does it shoot more accurate? yes. does it have a better distance capability? yes ... does velocity matter? no. next youll tell me it penetrates a target as well too...

  • @m4gunner25 You're right the 5.56 is complete trash, that's why it's becoming so popular with modern firearms. You're right, though. The 7.62 does have more stopping power up close, however at ranges where it can't even dream of hitting a target that the 5.56 can, you aren't going to get much stopping power out of a miss. And ha. You question the penetration capability of 5.56? I have metal swingers at home. My 5.56 FMJ rounds pass straight through the steel. It doesn't even sway. Like butter.

  • @ScopedPewPew I'm guessing your comparing 5.56mm to 7.62x39 when you say 7.62 can't reach like .223 (5.56mm). I have a 7.62x63 (30-06) that at 500 yards would more than likely put the .223 to shame. Of course mine is a bolt action opposed to gas operated.

  • @bad74maverick1 Yes, we're comparing 5.56x45 to the 7.62x39. A .30-06 will definitely provide better ballistics than a 5.56. However they're much more expensive, and generate more recoil. A .30-06 is basically overkill on a human that's why the garand is no longer in service ;)

  • @ScopedPewPew an M-1 Garand overkill?! says you ;P

  • @bad74maverick1 Well, most of the firefights are close enough that the garand is overkill :P

Remember I believe i heard somewhere that it is not 100% necessary to completely kill somebody in war. If you wound him, it may take 1 or 2 other people to carry him out. Removing 3 people from the battle rather than just decimating one with an overly powerful round xD

  • @ScopedPewPew unless your the unrelenting enemy who doesn't care about fellow fighters. How ever I make my argument/joke because (I know this could spark another debate) I would rather take accuracy and reliability into battle (M-1) than speed and capacity (not that AR's aren't accurate, i have one it's great). It's just the age old saying if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I joke here, the AR is a superb rifle but I like the old school better, don't ask me why I probably couldn't tell you.

  • @bad74maverick1 Yeah don't worry man I like the garand too. At longer ranges I'd take a garand or m14 over an AR since its just got such a larger round and can really reach out to longer distances.

Put it this way I guess

Really close range I'd take the AK47 since its got a large round, accuracy isnt a problem at close range

Mid range: AR15 for longer range, less recoil, better accuracy

LONG range: full sized rifle like garand or m14 for the accuracy and raw power

  • @m4gunner25 Also, I would just like to point out the fact that velocity does in fact matter. Seeing how Momentum = Velocity*mass. A higher velocity also makes for less compensation when aiming at longer distances. With a faster moving bullet you don't have to aim so high above the target. The smaller 5.56 also has less recoil.

  • @ScopedPewPew using your equation against your theory: MASS is the key component here. the 7.62 is almost 3 TIMES as heavy.. moving not THAT much slower. making the hit, much more traumatic. yes the .223 is a good round. im not saying it isnt... look at my name. is the .223 more accurate? of course..but youre talking about a matter of inches in difference out to a few hundred yards. if its out more than 3-400 yards and i NEED a precise shot..ill grab my big stick, and put it down.

  • @ScopedPewPew . and in the hands of a marksmen it will still kill you covered in mud.bang bang, i dont think it cares its old.

  • @chrysler3c You're right a skilled marksmen will be able to change the flight path of the bullet mid flight. See the problem with an AK47 is the round it uses, it's large and doesn't have much gunpowder behind it. That is why at longer ranges over 300 yards it tends to be horribly accurate. For example when I put my SKS (basically the forefather of the AK) in a vice grip it holds a 19 inch grouping at 300 yards.

  • @ScopedPewPew AK-47's kill multitudes of people every day; it has done so for over 6 decades. It's not the firearm that matters, it's the tactics and ability to use any weapon at your disposal.

As for the debate, it's no dispute. Everyone knows Stoner's design is evolved way beyond the AK, they're not even in the same class. Neither are obsolete, they're both effective on the battlefield. The AK-47 is a hunk of junk, the AR design is not.

  • @ScopedPewPew but every one else is using them and they are way better than your high powered .22 you call an ar 15

  • @joint42000 By everyone else you mean poor desert goat herders, correct? The russians have even replaced the old AK47 design. I'm pretty sure their newest AK chambers the 5.56x45mm round... The exact same round that the AR15 chambers.

  • @ScopedPewPew That would be the AEK series of assualt rifles

  • @ScopedPewPew yea and the ak 74 is lame because its a 22 aswell as the m16 and yea the rest of the world compared to america is poor goat farmers

  • @ScopedPewPew i like the ak47 because its fmj rounds are armor piercing and if i need to shoot 400 meters i have a scoped 30-06

  • @joint42000 To be fair, ALL military rounds must be FMJ

But yes. For a civilian to just have fun with, or a jungle type fighting scenario, AK47 is fine but anything serious at long ass ranges is definitely not the 47's forte

  • @ScopedPewPew and i agree my ak is my bush rifle then for distance i got my fn fal, mosin nagant and my 30 06

  • @ScopedPewPew It's Undeveloped countries, and although the Kalashnikov was designed in 1947 it is still renowned as one of the most reliable weapons in the world. It has no problems, only you

  • @ScopedPewPew Thank you. AK47 = SHIT.

  • @H311H0UND113 have you ever shot a gun based off Mikhail Kalasnikovs design? Its a very well built gun, dependable, easy to use and maintain. That weapon has caused a lot of people to stop breathing, its the reason why nations with superior technology and training lose troops to men living in caves.

  • @ScopedPewPew just because its outdated doesnt mean its a piece of shit. the fact that not much has changed on the gun since 1947 besides caliber and small things like the stock design says a lot about the design. How long did the original M16 last before they introduced the A1?

  • @jdizzy01 If you look at it, M16s are almost all identical except for a few small things like fire selectors and whether or not the carrying handle is removable. They all use the same caliber and behave in the same manner. They are both made of mostly metals as well.

AK107 fires 5.45x39mm instead of 7.62x39mm, uses polymers and plastics to reduce weight where 47 is mostly wood and metal. 107 also has a special recoil compensator that is thrown forward to cancel the knockback of the bolt.

  • @ScopedPewPew False, just from the M16 to the M16 A1, they added a recoil compensator, forward assist, chrome lined barrel, case deflector. changing things from wood to polymer doesnt really count, i can slap a polymer furniture set on my WASR 10 right now if i wanted to. except for caliber, that design has not changed much at all.

  • @ScopedPewPew

Exactly. Technology has moved passed the AK. That also doesn't mean they aren't fun to shoot, nor that they aren't still a solid weapon. But, considering the fact that the NRA still thinks lobbying for double-digit round clips for hand guns is a good idea, I don't expect logic, reason, or sanity, to ever enter into the discussion of guns in America. For every sane, responsible, gun owner (and I like to think of myself as one) there are 5000 idiot/redneck loons.

  • @bigfatbass Yep from an advanced military standpoint it is behind the times.

However, for a poor undeveloped country it works fine, it's also fun to shoot.

I have an SKS, which could almost be considered the forefather of the AK47.

Heh, here in Canada gun laws are pretty good. I'm a little upset at the fact my non-restricted SKS can only old 5 rounds where my restricted AR15 can hold 10 rounds. Handguns are always different too. Some 9, some 7... But definitely not double digit.

  • @bigfatbass whats wrong with double digit "Clips", by the way pistols use magazines. there is a difference

  • @ScopedPewPew ak103 and 4 are 7,62x39 -_-

  • @Lapinmiez I know I meant to say 107 not 103

  • @ScopedPewPew The AK47 was designed after WW2. It is still a great gun but i have to agree with you when you say it is way outdated.

  • @Luigi1451 WWII era, it was designed in 1947 because Mr. Kalashnikov had seen that the Mosin Nagant was not suited for most combat in WWII because it happened in ranges that a bolt action was being outgunned by semi automatic and automatic weapons. Simonov designed the SKS and Kalashnikov used some of the SKS's design and made his own AK47.

Too bad they didn't have the AK47 for WWII, ah well they still took most of Germany with their bolt action Mosin :P

  • @Luigi1451 outdated..........lol you want it to shoot lasers?

  • @Luigi1451 No it isn't.

This is the stupidest comment ever. The AKM is perfectly acceptable, and a far superior firearm to .22 varmint rifles issued to US Army and NATO troops today.

  • @SecuR0M I like to see you haul around a 8 pound gun all day and thats not even considering the weight of the ammo. Each soldier carries roughly 400 rounds, go add that up when you carry .30 cal all day. I wont even begin to say all the other well known reasons why we have not deployed the AK to our troops.

    and yes I am a automov kalashnikov fan, I own a 47 and a several 74s.

  • @Nikolai553 The solution: Stop whining? 300 rounds of 7.62x39mm isn't much in weight. Comparable to 300 rounds of 6.8x43mm SPC. If you want heavy ammunition, the SADF carries 240 rounds of 7.62x51mm NATO on their LBVs.

And the AKM is a perfectly acceptable firearm. I have no idea why anyone would think that it is "obsolete" or some nonsense, considering it has been used successfully in quite a few wars up to the modern day. Same with the Lee Enfield, the M1918 BAR (the original one), etc.

  • @Luigi1451 But that one was not an AK-47, it was an AKM. It's close, but not the same. :P
