  • the oh la la got kinda boring on my flights. They also played the audio too loud and the speakers were crackling.

  • great video But why a european looking flight attendant?? Is"hE" too ashames to have a real indian model do it?? Indian is the in thing in the world now.

  • She is an Indian model!

  • @montrealvic she is an indian model...here name is Yana Gupta shes like half Czechoslovakian and half Indian

  • sorry you are all wrong! the reason for having the window shades open is so that your eyes are aclimated to the outside lighting. It is not an FAR here in the US however most US & Foreign carriers will have u open your shades for take off & landing.

  • yeah, you're right, but there is an added advantage to opening the window shades. in the event of an emergency, your eyes do indeed need to adjust to the outside lighting, but you also need to remain oriented and be aware of any outside dangers once the aircraft has landed. Hodenwinkel's comment isn't entirely untrue either; safety crews need to be able to see what the situation is inside the aircraft without being restricted by closed window shades.

  • It's because the emergency services ( fire department, etc ) can see what's going on inside the aircraft after a crash..

  • you need to open the window blind during critical phase of the flight which means take off and landing in case of emergency evacuation.

  • Ex: you take off oops you see the engine fall of and your looking at this umm i don't think your going to go humm i wonder how I'm going to escape! not even the best flight attendant!

  • I don't Understand why they want your windo blinds up during take of and landing WHY that drives me nuts! why up or down dose it really mater will the window fall out if you have it down?

  • the reason is to see outside in case of an emergency.

  • is this a new rule? i started to hear about this in 2004 on a delta flight but did not here it in 2006 on a flight on American flight..

that really is irrational because there can be an emergency at "any" moment.there is not much you can do and your everyday person is not prepared fiscally or mentally to handle an emergency!

  • no.. its cabin pressure u Boob

  • nice video, love it

  • shes indian dahhhhhhhhh

  • her name is Yana Gupta, Shes half Indian and half Czech. The accent is all Indian. There are many different types of Indian accents. Thats one of them.

  • Shes not half India! Shes completely czech. She married an Indian guy before making it big in India and hence her last name. She has since divorced him, but unfortunately is dating some other bollywood dude. :'(. The accent is a typical Delhi accent, different from the Bombay accent where everybody stresses and over pronounces every single word ! :P

  • I never saw an airline that had a before landing video!!

  • The closest I have seen are videos specific to the destination, indicating how to complete customs and immigration forms, where to go to pick up baggage or to reach a connecting flight, etc.

  • That was pretty neat!

  • is the girl on this video indian or european? i love her accent!

  • Yeah, I wonder too... She doesn't look Indian, although I could be wrong.

  • Sounds a cross between English and Indian accent.

  • shes indian, kingfisher airlines is indian.
