The red sox shouldnt trade mike lowell its a horrible move.. he is great..hes a good player on and off the field and a leader in the clubhouse and he is the favorite of many red sox fans..not only that but they are trading him for nothing, basically its like they are giving lowell to the rangers for free also throwing in the 9 million for his salary..its stupid really

According to the Boston Globe, the Red Sox "would likely spin Mike Lowell to another team" if they sign Mark Teixeira.
Lowell has two years and $24 million remaining on his deal, but is a question mark following October hip surgery.
