Did the 440 pull 7 spark plug wires prior to the race?? That 302 ran very strong, however the 440 seemed like a tired 318....Bad video for comparisons for sure...
Believe me, a stock 440 versus a stock 302 with the same gears and transmission, a 440 would kick the shit out of that rustang. that 302 must being running boost/NOS, or the 440 driver wasn't trying because 440 cars can run 11s with just a different carb,headers, and slicks.

yeah, whats them 429 bosses run stock 15:12 @ 85mph SHUT UP so what if one mustang wins I've watched 100s lose to all kinds of cars. Everyone knows a boss 302 is slow on a drag strip cause it was developed to race MGBs w 4cyls
the dodge is in a shit state of tune and is TALL geared. Apples and oranges. Run em for a mile and see who comes out on top.
