the subject of a beard is a debate and there is no unified agreement on that. Let's focus on bigger issues then fight over a beard. Shaykh Yusuf Qardawi who is prominent and respected around the globe and he said that the beard is not obligatory but the prophet(pbuh) had one and it's nice to imitate the prophet.
