Finally watched it full through. Very funny overall... it has the ideal combination of an entertainingly bad movie (not 'just bad'), and funny, clever riffing.

The point of The Film Crew is the basic premise of 3 guys who make commentary tracks for films that don't have them. It's the framework for Mystery Science Theater-type riffing on B-movies.
