No, that's not what's going on. The guitar is not microphonic at all. Microphonic guitars/pickups squeal real bad, usually at a high pitch frequency. Resonate would be a better choice of words. And it wasn't to close, it was just right ! I meant to do that.....
@gillan64 "very microphonic guitar placed too close to an amp/speaker!" Are you kidding me, sounds like he's hit the sweet spot and has gone to tone heaven!
Hey! I saw you play last night with Keaggy! It was amazing! Funny, I've watched a bunch of your videos of the Z's but I didn't recognize you last night...
now just imagine if that was your dad...

I saw on of these at my local Long & McQuade (a musical instrument store chain here in Canada) but I don't have the money to buy it, *sigh*.

It's about time somebody made a 15-20 watt 1x10 combo that is both giggable and uses an alnico speaker for once.
Cathode biased, tube rectified with the alnico means smooth singing tone and I hear that the Red Fang 10 is stupid loud .
Must check this thing out in person.

That sustain is crazy! But with that 10" speaker, it's sounding pretty farty on the low end. I'd love to hear it through a 4x12...

If you listen to this, the first 4 seconds of the feedback sounds exactly like the beginning to parabola by Tool.

Finally, seems like a lot of Doc's amps are too damn clean for my tastes. The Monza seems perfects, I'll be selling my Maz 18 NR head.
