My first trip to NYC when I was 9 years old, I saw the ORIGINAL version of CHICAGO with none other than the first lady of Broadway, CHITA RIVERA as Velma Kelly......WOW! WHAT AN INITIATION to the Great White Way!! I remember it like it was YESTERDAY!! FABULOUS!!

@iiAngelic With Julliard school,plus High school of the preforming arts in NYC and all the Preforming arts schools in Long Island its tough to make it in NYC with all the wealthy parents pushing their kids into position.

I grew up there and knew musicians that tried..the competition is brutal.

Honestly... Don't waste your money. I saw it Tuesday night and was EXTREMELY disappointed. I thought they could have done so much more with props and dances. They had NO props at all and The Cell Block Tango had literally like no dancing in it :( I was really upset after the show. It wasn't HORRIBLE, but I don't think it is a Broadway quality show. :/
