When I hear them, while my old bones and wrinkles stay put, my mind goes back several decades. I instantly visit my young self, I can see him (me) falling in love for the first time, making new friends that will last me for ever, dancing my first dance… Rest in peace, great maker of time traveling devices!

The claim that the music here is composed by someone other than Gerry Rafferty is a bit misleading. The overall flow of the melody is very much the same as the original version, and that was written by Rafferty. If you are a real fan you know Rafferty hated to be ripped off.
