honda is coming out with the RVF1000r RC60 in 2012 it will be there new platform in motogp. they will no longer be using the CBR line up. it will have the V4 in it. and is claimed to put out 190-200hp stock. honda is gunning for the s1000rr and zx10r. and there saying it will put honda back in the game i cant wait till it comes out. and honda shames em all again.

i just bought an 1985 vfr1000r all orignail, my freind i ride with owns a 1985 and a 1984 all 3 are complety stock and orginal.

@Mendooranite i like it it is a nice custom, i know of an orignal for sale if intrested, i know hard core bikers like to own several bikes, as i own, a 1985 vf750f, a 1985 vfr100r, a 1987 hurricane 600, a 1992 600 kantana, a 1998 zx7r, a 1987 zx750 ninja, and a 2008 cbr 125, alough i rolled the zx7r last summer on the hwy at 105 mph rolled it over 3 times wearing shorts, beat the bike up pretty bad but i walked away with only road rash on 1 leg. i had just slowed down from 180mph

I also had purchase one band new in 1984,many believe they would win the Castrol 6 six hr that yr, however the RZ 500cc yam had won due to weight and tyre wear.

If correct the 1000R had only once success in one major endurance race event in France that yr.

They use to tank slap lots on rough surfaces due the 16 '' front wheel.

Mate. I had a VF1000R, back when they came out, and they didn't like the traffic, even back then. Soon as you'd stop, the temp guage would start to rise. Still, they were a great bike. Oh, and the fairing is a RC45. RC 30 had round headlights, amongst other differences. Take care.

Nice nice nice nice NICE. I like it alot. I've recently thought of using an VF1000R for street fighter project, but im very impresed with the idea of taking the sports tourer into the other direction and making it a sports bike. 5 stars

Yep, first test ride, and it was wet..... the old chinese safety shoes are not my normal choice of footwear, but Jim insisted I had a go, seeing it was my idea and i paid for it.... :)
