Actually, Portugeese and Southern Spanish people descend from Phoeniceans, who later travelled up north to the british isles and established in Southern England, Wales, The Scottish Lowlands and the western part of the Highlands and Ireland... And those guys weren't a Celt bunch, but became Celt (In northen Spain) because of the breeding with Pyrenean populations. whereas the populations living in the British Isles were Celt from the beginning :)

This band is excellent... Unfortunately when it comes to different genres of metal these bands from Europe blow away most bands that are from the U.S.A. but that doesn't mean that we don't have good bands from here it's just that Europe has taken the metal scene & made it their own... What I like is the different genres that have come about in the European metal scene - Different types of Black Metal - Pagan / Symphonic / Death / Viking / Folk etc...

You're right, maybe there are tons of people who enjoy that guttural hollering, but for me it wrecks plenty of otherwise decent songs. We have so much history. Indians (funny that "Run To The Hills" was made by a British band), colonists, civil war (Battle Hymn of the Republic), cowboys (Ghoultown), pioneers. We do have bluegrass, blues, old slave songs (Swing Low Sweet Chariot).
