I don't know why some are crying about how cruel and heartless Lara was, encase you forgot Amanda is responsible for Alister's death! Natla created the Doppler ganger, and Amanda gave it the orders to Destroy Lara's house and kill Alister while retrieving her stone. she deserves every bit of this and much much more, personally I would have killed her.

I think they are going to show the entire story of LAra and Amandas relationship, ending up at the part where Lara had to leave her in the cave/whatever they were in. @bradcasali Lara had to leave Amanda. She had no way of getting through the underwater gate that fell, so It made sense that she'd at least save herself and swim back.

Plus, cold preserves things. Freezing to death is one thing, but if Amanda passes out due to her broken leg or whatever, the cold may actually slow down her metabolism enough to preserve her. Not sure if this will actually be pursued, but it's an idea (read: she's still alive).
The reason she doesnt have excaliber is because the way they base the cutscenes, like how you can see lara with different outfits in each cutscene. In order for people to get this ending, they probably had t encode the disk in order to read and extract it

And why did Amanda attack Lara? Injured, unarmed person against fighting fit, armed and ready person. In a blizzard? Not even she would be that stupid. And if she has to attach Lara now instead of later when she's healed, why didn't she just use her wraith stone thing.This just dosn't fit with the ending, the whole game even.

It was probably put in because Amanda was kinda responsible for Alister's death, and her "dying" kinda gave the satisfaction that she got what was coming to her. May have been left out as it made Lara look a little heartless (leaving Amanda), even though it was self defense.
Yeah i guess. Maybe it was left out because they want to bring Amanda back again. Although if they do, i hope it will be her last appearance, it's not very Tomb Raider to have a full time villain.
this wouldnt destroy the story. crystal dynamics destroyed the story... if they kept how it used to be, it would be a lot better. i like those games better
