I'll be honest, you never solo anything as a hunter past level 10 (unless you count the hunter level 60 epic quest back in vanilla). You always have a pet with you. Sure you're controlling it and have to keep it alive and that does take skill but to use the word "solo" is kind of a fib :p

Ummm so u cound a pet, which is part of the hunter and warlock playing style made by blizz, an extra player. A hunter or warlock without a pet is like a rogue without stealth. Good luck with playing a rogue without stealth.

Well done mate, I am a BM/Surv dualspecced hunter on Blade's edge (xanthusdire) and I soloed him on my second attempt. The first time my pet was out of range of my heals, tactical error. Second time, easy. I used a tenacity pet as well and have the glyph of mend and mending since my bm spec is purely for soloing stuff.

Alright, I'm an 80 surv hunter in full t8 with the same pet you have, the Matriarch, and I can't seem to get my pet to hold aggro on anything. Was thinking of going BM for extra talents, but would it truly work?

Go bm for soloing bosses like this unless you know how to MD a lot as surv or marks.

and with glyph of mending u get 40% more from mend pet and if u have psirit bond and a tenacity pet u get like 2,3k tics :)

pet is being healed see its bar under the hunter's bar and u will se constant heals and the numbers written with green

the legendary bow's arrows = 0 dps. which is why the base dmg on it is so big.
