@GlasgowRangers2009 Neil Lennon actually has a transfer spending surplus - he's taken in more than he has spent (although I won't deny the wage bill is probably a bit higher than what it was when he arrived).

Also, I'm sure that if you look at both lineups from that day, Rangers' 11 probably cost more than Celtic's did to assemble (mind you, it's a team assembled over a few years, Celtic's was mostly summer signings), I wouldn't agree the good performances are down the amount of money spent.

@GlasgowRangers2009 I see your point, but Mowbray failed even in spite of spending quite a substantial sum of money.

Lennon, albeit that he has had to fork out a good few million on HIS team, has a totally different approach to the game from Mowbray. The connection that he has with both the fans and his players right now is something that is proving hard to beat.

@ScottMcDonald27 Also, Neil Lennon brought in £13m from McGeady and Boruc alone; he's spent less than he brought in. However, Mowbray was a terrible manager. He made some awful decisions (i.e. putting captain McManus out on loan when we're desperate for centre backs). Mowbray left Lennon with so much to fix, and it's fantastic to see Celtic doing so well this season. Kayal and Hooper have been outstanding, and Izaguirre is the best bargain since Henrik. I don't like Stokes but oh well. Hail hail
