@GlasgowRangers2009 man city are only playin better coz they went on a wee spending spree, oh yeah and that real madrid team, and chelsea....... hang on your a dumb fuck
Utter balls, Rangers spent £6M while Celtic spent £8.7M - how is that a spending spree - your'e the club that's meant to be 'cash strapped'! Celtic invested their money wisely in talented young talent while Rangers spunked it on loan players such as Diouf who was on £34k a week at Ibrox.
10 men v 11 men 21 passes without huns gaining possesion 1 shot 1 goal 1 scott brown 1 douif 1 broony so ye cin shuv yer douify up yer arse hail hail the double with 2 decent cups is still on
@GlasgowRangers2009 money isn`t the only factor , yeah it does play a part I`ll grant you that but if just spending more money or going on spending sprees "simply made you play better" then man city would be winning everything team spirit , and the players you do bring in play apart , in the 3-0 game rangers team was worth about 3-4 mil more
@GlasgowRangers2009 Neil Lennon actually has a transfer spending surplus - he's taken in more than he has spent (although I won't deny the wage bill is probably a bit higher than what it was when he arrived).
Also, I'm sure that if you look at both lineups from that day, Rangers' 11 probably cost more than Celtic's did to assemble (mind you, it's a team assembled over a few years, Celtic's was mostly summer signings), I wouldn't agree the good performances are down the amount of money spent.
@GlasgowRangers2009 na m8 celtic have more money bcause dey r a beter club its lak man united and aston villa man u have away mre money bcause dey r a better club
@GlasgowRangers2009 mate thats a lot of pish for so many reasons, I dunno where to begin. Isn't that how Rangers won the last two titles? The difference being Celtic have spent within their means. Rangers didn't and now we are seeing they are going to suffer long term for it. Plus ... Forster - loan Cha- Free Mulgrew- free Ledley-free Majstorovic- free Izaguirre - 600k Stokes - 1mil Hooper - 2mil Kayal - 1.5 mil Commons -300k = 5.4 mil (less than the combined cost of Jelavic and Beattie)
@GlasgowRangers2009 I see your point, but Mowbray failed even in spite of spending quite a substantial sum of money.
Lennon, albeit that he has had to fork out a good few million on HIS team, has a totally different approach to the game from Mowbray. The connection that he has with both the fans and his players right now is something that is proving hard to beat.
I appreciate that you never came on this video to post something derogatory, instead we could talk about football. Cheers.
@ScottMcDonald27 Also, Neil Lennon brought in £13m from McGeady and Boruc alone; he's spent less than he brought in. However, Mowbray was a terrible manager. He made some awful decisions (i.e. putting captain McManus out on loan when we're desperate for centre backs). Mowbray left Lennon with so much to fix, and it's fantastic to see Celtic doing so well this season. Kayal and Hooper have been outstanding, and Izaguirre is the best bargain since Henrik. I don't like Stokes but oh well. Hail hail
Oh, and, brilliant video, I like that you showed how much possession Celtic had and how much they were outplaying Rangers prior to the goal. And then you got the fantastic celebration in after the goal :P Come on Celtic, even a draw at Ibrox on Sunday will put us in a position to win the league
