@prd270892 only the Cooper S models came with twin tanks, prior to Jan 1966 even Cooper S models came with a single tank however the second tank was a factory option on the S. After Jan 1966 twin tanks were fitted as standard on the Cooper S's
nice mate my mum had one of these in Australia, lighter colour with a white roof, push button start single tank with disc brakes it was a monster to a young bloke like me. I had a 5 litre V8 Ford and this this would get away from me around the streets lol
That is an amazing car. Minis are so cheap in the UK. My 1962 was $2000 when I bought it with no paint, engine was shot, no gear box, no seats and electrics where also not working. And after 3 years of restoration I have an awesome car that I love to drive worth about $11,000. But I wouldn't sell it in a million years.
@jessehirsty Thats Really not cheap at all hah, i picked up a 1964 Mini Cooper for $500 In Australia, engine still runs and its got a spare work 998 engine :)

What about the twin tanks, I always thought early coopers had twin tanks.
