Instead of rebooting Jack Ryan again like they're planning, can't they just bring back Harrison Ford like he wants to and do another sequel, perhaps with Ryan as president.
I'm pretty sure this is my favorite movie of all time. Of course it doesn't hurt none that it came out the same year I was born.
And just for the record, Ford might have been older than Ryan was in the novel, but his performance was, hands down, the best of all the Clancy movies. Harrison Ford will always be Jack Ryan to me.
Itsn't there a second version trailer and I think reel.com use to have it. When they were around during the early years of the web. This one I never saw till the DVD days, that version I think was attached along before the start of Forrest Gump in theaters back in 1994. Anyone know where I can find that version. It starts with showing the Coast Guard Cutter and not the President saying stuff.
what a fantastic political thriller... too bad they had to cut off so many great things from the book... so jack ryan universe would make a great tv series...
@pileosheet It's "Fire In a Brooklyn Theatre" from Come See the Paradise. (Randy Edelman) Heh, I remember a time when I was trying to figure this one out, too.
So what? Roger Moore was far too old to play James Bond and that bastard still played James Bond! Also who did you want to replace the Alec Baldwin Jack Ryan back then? William Baldwin? Stephen Baldwin? Tom Cruise?
i wanna see RED STORM RISING... Hope they make some (dunno if there is already tho) all of his (Clancy) works are awesome... a must read art.. really it is...!
In this Movie the NSA/CIA listens to all the phone calls in south america for the Speech Print/ Voice print of the intel guy assasin for "Pablo Escabar" using only "the machine is on Myra". This is how THEY (phone Co. and Clandestine services & even P.I.s) know all of your known associates by voice print and content recognition software (for radio & TV ratings) by listening in with computers to your phone microphones...
Love this movie! Is it perfect, no. But even it's inperfections are fun. Great action, score by James Horner, it's a rollar coaster ride! A movie you can turn off if you are switch channels on your TV!
they need to make more films from clancy books. id like to see one for rainbow six, or without remorse. im actually reading clear and present danger right now...
Ha, and now this is so true, drug dealers are even more dangerous than islamic fanatics. But who cares, every one wants basic liberty, every one hates NSA work and feds.
In the actual movie, there's a scene on the tarmac where soldiers are playing trombones during unloading of coffins (see around 1:08 in above clip). Does anyone know the name of the short instrumental? Thanks

This is so gay....lets make up fantasy about"lying to congress" and phony wars....factVietnam was the war we didn't want to win and should have been in, same fo Cuba, sae for Korea same FOR IRAQ...we won Iraq back in 2003 thats why th Soviets and their terror/propanganda machine tried so damn hard to smear the Bush admin with all of these lies nd massive distortons of what was said when etc..Fact is Ho was a commie, the NVA invaded the south after terrorizing th north, and Hussein had WMD etc.!
