uruguay is a really good team, but i think their match against south korea was stupid. it's not uruguay, it's south korea. south korea was more offensive and had more chances to score goals but u just coudln't put it in. i'm surprised uruguay went so far though
If you ever watch the match again you'll notice Uruguay went to defend after the 1st goal and as you say that part of the match was stupid but it doesn't prove anything, the way it ended is the way Uruguay plays not the way Korea scored.

The fact that we had no recession doesn't mean we are not poor. We are among the poorest nations in the world becase of the size of our country and the things we can produce with it, but our quailty of living and basic services are adequate and improving because we have one of the highest literacy rates in the americas and we are very few people.

This is prob major trivia you've never heard of , but 1924 and 1928 football tournaments were organized 1 month before the actual olympics to seperate the events. Los culpables son los jueces, España-Suiza que el árbitro no dejó llegar a Suiza al arco, Brasil-Costa de Marfil que los Ívores les pegaban como unos animales a los brasileros y el árbitro no cobró nada y lo mismo pero incrementado en Ghana-Uruguay.

Dude, things like this happen in football everyday its not a 1 man sport is a sport in wich you see all of your friends lose and you feel like you betrayed them and your nation, It was instinct.
Nobody would've said a thing if Gyan had scored the penalty despite there was a ghanian offside right before Suarez handball and a ghanian dive before that in the last min of the match from wich the free kick was taken.
If the offside was charged nothing of this would've happened. Blame the referee.

Yes better but not because of that match.
If you ever watch the match again you'll notice Uruguay went to defend after the 1st goal and as you say that part of the match was stupid but it doesn't prove anything, the way it ended is the way Uruguay plays not the way Korea scored.
S.K are a great team better than Uruguay because the speed and technical skills of its players and pass unoticed simply because they're asians. Sad thing, I hope they and Japan get bigger cult following the next WC.

We along with argentina are the architect of football, we were the 1st who redisigned it but Uruguay is not a dinosaur but one of the most accomplished teams ever in cup history and one of the greatest football nations overall.

LOL Uruguay doesn't over rate their players, we are historically famous for the harsh press against our own men, we just praize their sacrifice for their team, in fact this is the first time in 40 years in which we give our players the recognition they deserve.
One of the best players of the 90s Álvaro Recoba doesn't qualify for playing at Nacional or Peñarol cause he never felt his shirt, is in Danubio now. A way less talented player from national team, Darío Rodriguez, is playing for Peñarol.

Fernando Morena (680 goals) is still the best uruguayan scorer, Enzo Francescoli still is the best uruguayan player ever.
Alberto Spencer and Atilio García are both deceased and well respected as the best players that ever played for Peñarol and Nacional (None of them is Uruguayan).
Ladislao Mazurckiewicz is still the best keeper we've ever had.
We are very proud of our players, we love them, they are our heroes but they are not over rated that I asure you.

The fact that we had no recession doesn't mean we are not poor. We are among the poorest nations in the world becase of the size of our country and the things we can produce with it, but our quailty of living and basic services are adequate and improving because we have one of the highest literacy rates in the americas and we are very few people.

@GraffitiMaster13 it is a great acchievement that they one it twice. especially in 1950. but in 2010 they relied on 2 great players (suarez and mostly forlan) and made their way to the semi-finals by cheating. congradulations to uruguay, but they're not the only country that isn't among the 'big names' to make the semi-finals. bulgaria, sweden, croatia, turkey, south korea, belgium and poland are not among the big football countries. some good players, but not more than that. same for uruguay.

No, to be honest, it's true. FIFA can only grant the stars on a crest. This is prob major trivia you've never heard of , but 1924 and 1928 football tournaments were organized 1 month before the actual olympics to seperate the events. (BY FIFA, as the Official "FIFA Amateur world championships". They have it officially on their constitution (and as seen on their crest when they were allowed to wear 4 stars in the mid 70s), as 4 x fifa world champs:)

Soy uruguayo pero por Suarez me parece que los goles que se mandó hablan de la capacidad futbolística que la prensa mete púa para desmerecerle.
Los culpables son los jueces, España-Suiza que el árbitro no dejó llegar a Suiza al arco, Brasil-Costa de Marfil que los Ívores les pegaban como unos animales a los brasileros y el árbitro no cobró nada y lo mismo pero incrementado en Ghana-Uruguay.
El partido España-Holanda quedará para la historia como la más nefasta y violenta final del mundo.

Los muertos fueron aproximadamete 3.533.000 alemanes y aliados 11.000.000 por la guerra. A la cual Hitler casi acava con su propias tropas por no rendirce. El 1 de septiembre de 1939, Alemania invadió Polonia, Y bueno aca empiesa la segunda guerra mundial. Como ves Hitler si comenzo la guerra, ahorra si se puede o no echar la cultpa de las muertes de los soldados en la guerra de pende del punto de vista. No es trampa porque se hizo todo bajo el reglamento. El reglamento dice tarjeta roja y penal y eso fue lo que sucedio. Trampa es si no te cobran.
