  • We played this song at my son's funeral, graveside. It was heartbreakingly beautiful. We love you Sawyer <3

  • I'll never forget, the second or third time I saw Nickel Creek I walk in to the Norva and holy shit its Jack Black playing the guitar as an opening act. Come to find out the guys name is Martin Sexton and he was amazing. Nickel Creek was of course awesome.

  • Go to my page to see a video of my brother and I singing this song!! :)

  • This song makes me think of my friends, I lost in Afghanistan. Still hurts.

    Even more with this song.

    Johan & Gunnar RIP!

  • @M00K1234 I hope with all my heart that someday you find peace

  • I love these guys! They are the best in the world in my humble opinion for this genre, if there is one for their music. If there isnt one, its a new genre called "the most comforting, listenable loving and wonderful music ever"! : )

  • they really have a unique sound, which is hard to find...

  • Learn to grammar.

  • credit should go where credit is due... this song is actually not original with Nickel Creek, it's a cover, sort of. i say sort of because Tim O'Brien wrote and recorded it, but NC obviously crafted this beautiful arrangement.

  • I got to see them 2nd row center on their final tour - so sad. I truely hope that after a break they will decide to reform and retour.

  • I wish I would have been able to see them in concert! I so love them! My FAV SONG EVER

  • This group does some really great things with the original bluegrass sound. I love it!

  • this song is amazing

dont let anyone tell you different

  • I love this song. It is reminds me of 911 so very moving and sad. But I do have to agree with another comment, poor sound. It sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. But other then that is it awesome.

  • Whomever gave me a negative comment it was played for 911. You ignorant jerk. They played it quite often. I was not commenting negatively. I love this group and song. It is very moving and sad and reminds me of that news footage that they played on 911 with this song. You jerk.

  • Sara is SOOO pretty.GoodGod

  • poor sound

  • Just great!

  • Absolutely beautiful. How can anyone level the claim "horrible playing" at this?? It's just inconceivable!

  • a tear comes to my eye

    "i'll be your harmony..."

  • This song makes me fall in love.

  • I love 「When You Come Back Down」!!!!!

  • Chris did sing that one alot different the the album cut...But I guess when you sing the same song 5000 times you have to do it a little different to keep it fresh and fun...Love them very much!

  • Loveee this sonnggg

  • why is that hard to believe? bands get discovered in all kinds of places all the time.

  • hard to believe that Nickel Creek was discovered playing at a restaurant in San Diego...

    true story!

  • omg....i love this song and going to my 1st N/C show in st louis this october...please tell me they still do this song in the set..i will feel like a dork but i konw this will make me cry if they sing this..THEY ROCK

  • i just got back from rocky grass and saw them... i was in the front row lol and they kept talkin about crazy tubers...aka me and my frend =]

  • This is my mom's graduation song to me...it's perfect.

  • I'm a huge fan of this tune. The studio version of this blew me away the first time I heard it... and it's even better live. Crazy talent.

  • this song gives me goosebumps!!

    and makes me tear up.

  • Nickel Creek can really put an amazing interpretation on any tune... and they're especially good at it with this, one of the greats: Tim O'Brien.

  • I so love this song!! Just the kind of words a woman would love to hear from her guy!

  • I've been a fan of Nickel Creek since... they came out... the first time I heard "reasons why" on some small time video show... yeah... the concert footage from the "when you come back down" video was taken at the Big Spring Jam in Huntsville, AL... I was there lol...

  • oh... but it was the FIRST time they played the Jam... I think it was 97... or 98...

  • Great band! Best i have heard in a long time! This is comin from a lad who lives in a techno, rap and mc area so thats sayin somethin! I actually found this band by accident while searchin for a nickel back album the minute i heard them i loved them! Havnt looked back since and am glad i found them!

  • dunno bout that, but their good

  • best band in the last decade

  • para Priscilla...

  • Definitly not a sound check you can see people's heads bobbing and hear talking. There's no lighting effects because the emphasis is on the MUSIC This song is just slow; it happens to have very talented playing if you open your ears and listen!

  • def a sound check...no lighting...horrible playing...honestly..

  • does it feel weird to be an idiot?

  • maybe the stupidest comment i've ever read on YouTube....i'd love to hear your frame of reference....

  • A rookie mistake: mistaking a camcorder mic quality tape for bad playing. Did you listen to any of the notes? Def NOT a sound check: Nickel Creek fans are notoriously attentive when it's time to be, and notoriously rioutous when the energy inevitably goes through the roof again. LISTEN TimDiesel.

  • Is this a sound check or something? There seems to be no one there. Don't get me wrong-- it's great.

  • *awesome sorry

  • they're so aesome ( =
