@one7christianrock Looks like open chords being slid up the frets; try doing a C chord, then sliding your fingers up two frets leaving the G and E strings open. I think that's the general idea, I could be wrong but it makes some really nice cluster chords (Nike Drake is a master of this) and is a good technique to have, makes a faux-twelve string sound. I don't know how clear that is so tell me if it needs explaining

@one7christianrock He's playing rhythm guitar, arguably the easiest part if you have a good sense of rhythm (which you need to play good music anyway). Practice!  What happens when you play a song enough times on the guitar is that muscle memory takes over eventually and you don't even have to think about it! Practice makes perfect, keep it up! Learn the chords, and practice! One important thing to do while playing is keep your strumming hand moving to the 8th beat, strum when needed.

@born2drum1627 are you kidding. their music is now less pop than ever now that they're working with brian eno as producer. he is easily the most experimental, left-of-centre producer out there..i challenge you to name another pop song like 42, cemeteries of london, strawberry swing, life in technicolor ii, etc. only viva la vida could be considered centre pop, that's why it was the single that carried the album, but the actual content of the album is as far from pop as black is from white.

Not just this song but the whole album (A Rush of Blood to the Head) seems like it just faded into the background. Maybe because their fans prefer their more recent stuff, but I think their earlier albums were MUCH better! The songs were much more meaningful, and the melodies were amazing. I think all people remember from this whole album is "clocks" lol
