  • We all have things it's hard to forgive ourselves for...I saw a newspaper in an antique store in 1997, sealed in a plastic cover, from the day President Kennedy was assassinated--and didn't buy it. &%#$.

  • October 5, 1969. It was three days after my 12th birthday, I had started at a new school, and my sister was born exactly one year later (1970).

Without this, as the today reader is, there is no context, and all newspaper stories start to be timeless; they are just standardly reported opinions of the journalists of the day then and now.

    .

    Cheers.

    del-boy.
