  • Great job auntie for making delicious food and great accent by the video recorder!

  • Your chicken curry looks so tasty with your fake accent ! :p

  • PLEASE! I like the recipe, so help me with it - does this half chicken really have two breasts and three legs accompanied by one wing? And how do spice quantities etc compare?

  • @peterkar ,this was roughly half chicken, and you can follow the recipe for mild hot curry..

  • @peterkar EVERYONE HAS 2 BREASTS

  • The quantities given are all quite wrong - that's a lot more than half a chicken, one onion etc.... How much are you really cooking for (say) four people?

  • For a western europe boy, this is an excellent base recipe! Nice fairly quick way to get a rich sauce going. Just made this curry, sauce is rich and lovely. I bet it's easy enough to alter initial spices, and drop in other stuff like chillies, garlic cloves, peppers, whatever, after the chicken and with the sauce mix.

  • Lame recipe...unhealthy and stupid

  • I need a non dairy version of this. Any suggestions for a yogurt replacement?

  • @travbrack water

  • I'm never eating from you lol..... Sniffling while making food... You might as well have sneezed or blown your nose on film..... Next time please wait the 5 more days until your cold has ran it's course to show me how to cook food, trust me I'm not that hungry... I can wait. Now I lost my appetite: )

  • @Babymatic2009

Seriously who cares if she has a a bit of sniffle. I didn't have a clue how to cook a chicken curry before watching this and now it's my favorite dinner to cook. Be grateful that she taught you how to easily make a gorgeous dinner, and not talk about something petty like her sniffle.

  • @carrythatwait it's nasty people like you is why there's so many diseases in the world today... You and mrs sniffles can take your nasty oily curry chicken and eat it... I already know how to make curry chicken and it's not that way!

  • Hi carpediem. I was wondering what part of Pk you're from originally, because we make this dish a bit differently. I'm going to try it out to see if it differs much in taste and whatnot. Well, my mother anyways, I don't have a lot of time for it. How long did it take you anyway?

  • i love it chicken curry

    gr8 job....:-)))

  • looks very very very nice u made me hungry lol

  • That looks spectacular, nice job!

  • strange recipe, I will try it.

  • real easy recipe..turned out good, but was a li'l sour..

  • Can you stop sniffing your nose while you're making a public cooking video? It's very... distracting/gross.

  • Hi. Nice vid. I saw you put some cloves before adding the zeera... how much do I need and is there 1/2 cinnamon stick too?

  • Bless her heart. So much spice.. YAHOOO!!!!

  • all them spices makin hef sniff lol

  • thats a lot of oil.

  • my bum burns after eating your recipe, no more chilli in my curry..

  • @jaysaviod LMAO

  • wow....wonderful recipe thank u

  • That's awesome. I'm gonna try this tomorrow.

  • jus to remind sum of u, the main purpose of the video is to learn a recipe and how to cook it, you therefore shouldn't care about the 'sniffing' etc. if you think your better then make your own video and let's see. Just be grateful that there is someone who is dedicating their precious time to make life easier for some of us who wish to learn how to cook . so learn to appreciate! thanks a lot carpediem43 for this wonderful video ! :D

  • omg...i made this n added some of my own stuff ... thank you so much! it is so awesome

  • if you put the spices with chiken spices will be burn...not better way to cook

  • Thankyou.

  • All the best..

  • It looked good and cooked very well too ... Thanks ...

  • I don't think it's too much oil. It's good for some dishes to be oilier and others less so. Variety.

  • @ierig never good for your health though!!!!!

  • it looks very good ... Thanks ...

  • It looks like it would lack flavor. Maybe at very end put in some more spice and ghee.

Also there seems to be more than 1 onion. Or it was a large size one?

  • Its not an indian recipe thats why. Its pakistani.

  • Tried this recipe today. Didn't come out as I expected. Guess oil and onions were less. Also there was hardly any gravy.

Nevertheless. I added a bit of lime on the top and it went well.

    Must say I wasn't disappointed.

  • I tried this recipe with Frog legs but I deep friend the frog legs first..it's really great with the sauce..I know froglegs is not Halal but it's better texture than chicken

  • for those that says too much oil..well at least its not lard

  • The recipe looks good, but there is too much oil in the pan, I think. when cooking the chicken, it creates its own "juice" so you should not have the need to add so much oil. Just looking at it from a healthier side. ;^)

  • i think u put too much oil

  • Comment removed

  • looks good.

  • @TRISTARENT1

Oh shut up, if you had that much onion up your nose you'd be doing the same. sheesh.

  • I like ur voice now I hav to see how good the curry taste.....tnx 4 ur post

  • i love how ur vedios r short, quick, simple and yummm

  • I miss my mums cooking!!!!!!!!

  • ncie - well done!!

  • yah use a metal fork for your teflon pan eh?

  • where's the coconut milk?i reckon that u put too much oil in it that caused the paste to split..but anyway that seems nice and wisely made..good on ya

  • I have not heard of using coconut milk in Pakistani recipes. Maybe that's why there isn't any?

  • it's not the way my mother does it but the outcome looks similiar

  • This is a pakistani recipe. delicious!!

  • Not how we do it!!!!!!!!

  • this is not the way the Indians cook...

  • You are right! Thank god for that!

  • Hurm... a large different from the curry that my mother cooked..

  • Question :

    What is the difference between

    Garam masala

    and

    Tikka masala?

I hope someone replys with the answer....

  • I have all of these ingredients. No curry powder just guram masala?

  • Dear UstashaMe84,Yes its only geram masala,no curry powder.

  • What would you add if you wanted to add heat to it, make it spicier?

  • Just add more chilli powder..or 1 or two small green chillies in the end..

  • pls write ur recipe mix of the garam masala. Thanx

  • Its ready made geram masala powder,,you can buy any brand from the market.

  • oh no. u see i dont cook pakistani/indian food everyday, and the stores sell this stuff in large quantities, which means it will lose its flavor very quick. It is much better to fry the spices and grind it and use it right a way. it is more fresh and tastier. Anyway, i know the mix for indian recipes, i was wondering if pakistani is different, i assume since u said get it from market that u r not that picky and indian formula will do.

  • You are right, these masalas loose their flavors, thats why keep them in the freezer or fridge.they'll last longer.

ofcourse freshly done geram masalas are the best option.

  • carpediem, well i think when someone has the time to cook this kind of food, an extra 5 minutes to make fresh masala wont hurt. It really makes a difference to the taste and it is easy just roast 4 pieces of cardamom, cloves, black peper i also like to add dry chilli pepers and cumin seeds for the roast , then grind. Very easy and being fresh makes a world of difference!

  • thanks.

this really helps freshly off the boat student bachelors like me living in the alien country of the United States of America.

  • hiya tx u so much my cooking is bad . wachin u cook has made it ezyr can u show us how to make chichen curry with out the yourget plzzzz

Great, great job. I can sense the truth and earnestness in your voice.

    Well done.

  • mmm, looks yummy, this is the first one after 10 recipes i watched at which you fry chicken in herbs and thats how i like it and should be fried :)

  • nice recepie , but if u add a little bit fresh coriander and lemon it will appear more delicious than it looks by the way nice recpie

  • This is not a traditional Pakistani chicken curry. Many of my friends are Pakistani and i have never come across a chicken curry dish with yoghurt in it! The yoghurt adds too much tangyness to the dish and overpowers the flavour of the dish, even a little yoghurt can make it too tangy. Maybe this particular recipe is catering for the western pallete?

  • i dunno what sort of pakistani friends you have but this is actual stuff, its actually called qorma, i dunno why its put as being curry

  • I've tried this today..It turned out GREAT..Thanks a lot ..Please post some Beaf/Mutton curry recipe..

  • Wow, you're recipes are great.

A lot try to cook Indian on here, but barring Vah Chef, you are up there as one of the best.

    More please :)

  • Absolutely right, other recipes on YT get this wrong. Always lightly fry spices in oil before you put anything in that has, intrincically, water or moisture. Seeds and spices are oil based so the cooking oil needs to draw out the full flavour of the spices first. Top recipe.

  • Yum - Is this a traditional Pakistani curry or Indian curry : )

  • good recipies, specially for the pakistani students all around the world, just try being more precise than "half a chicken" looks good, will try next sunday :)

  • haha well said about the pakistani students!!

  • Pan is too hot, otherwise good recipe. Thanks
