He sounds exactly like my Coone. She uses that meow to annoy the hell out of me for food. They are extremely bright. She wakes me up every morning at the same time. No alarm needed. she also knows the weekend from weekdays. Go figure.
i got my two from a breeder. youll have to go online and find one in your area nad visit. make sure its a good place and its best of its one in someones house, that way the kittned have been handles a lot and are used to people holding them and arent as aggressive. we knew the breeder so we got both our main coons for free, chloe couldnt breed so she was useless and winslow had an eye problem. she usually charges 500 a kitten and they have all of there shots when they go to there new home.
I had a Maine Coon mix that looked a so much like yours. He passed away last week. I miss him so much. He was so intelligent, and he did the funniest things. He helped himself to his food in the cupboard, fetched beanie babies, and took piggy-back rides on my back. He was always waiting for me at the door when I came home. When people rang my doorbell, he came running to greet them. Very vocal, too. His meows sometimes sounded like purrs. Loved that crazy cat!

@howetl01 Surprisingly, Maine Coons do not shed that much. I have a short-haired calico that sheds a ton more than mine.
