  • Lol, ten lonesome losers didnt like hearing the truth!

  • This song kicks ass and it only started growing on me more recently, although I've heard it sporadicalliy throughout the years.

  • Midway through the song at 2:14, the guitars sound like the background music from an 80's TV show like Riptide or Simon & Simon. TV now days and the World's gone to the dogs. :( Nostradomas may be right, Dec. 21, 2012 might be it!

  • I've never heard of me either

  • SUCH WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF THE 80,S

  • How did these guys manage to turn my life's story into a song two years before I was born?

  • @TheMonkeysphere Don't say that my friend..You're not a looser..

  • This is one of my dad's favorite songs.

  • One of my favorite bands.

  • This is THE Prototypical Power Pop recording....

  • they wrote this song about me...

  • I'm a lonesome loser. But i still keep on trying...

  • I dedicate this to the biggest loser I have ever known.. "Ultimate Selector"...

  • they were smart, because if your a loser, they also send "help is on the way"

  • I listen to this too often, I'm not sure if it's uplifting or depressing. I seem to go in either situation. right now, depressed mode >:l

  • i need to see if this is edited from the album version...

  • This song reminds me so much of my oldest bro

  • @ShutlOrbit that's to bad I love this song!!!

  • Sadly.....this song is the ultimate epitomy of my life. Everything about it is so true! There is no escaping it! The truth is not always happiness and roses! This song speaks volumes, at least in my life. So be it!

  • @4marauder1 This is not the true little river band!

  • This is a good song to have on when you drink.

  • "she"

  • 5 losers dislike this song!! Get a life!!!

  • why does he have too be lonesome ?

  • Awesome song!

  • 875 likes and 5 losers. hell yeah. fine song. it used to be on the air all the time. they should bring it back.

  • broke the replay button.....

  • I woke up a couple minutes before my alarm today and was thinking my dream was telling me about how much of a loser I am... and then when the alarm came on all I hear is "now tell me, have you heard about the lonesome loser." I really think maybe the universe is trying to tell me something. So how do I stop being a loser? What do I do?

  • @mustaffa1611 learn how tom play guitar young man!

  • @mustaffa1611 Just keep on tryin'.

  • We have five lonesome losers here.

  • Even though the song ran less tthan 4 minutes, WLS-AM still edited it!

  • @DaveWollenberg Double U Elll Essss (Chicago)

  • God I remember this song and singing at the age of five...Love Love Love!!!

  • I wonder if they are going to tour? I think the last time I hear them live I was at Bush Gardens in Tampa, FL with my mom and we heard them play.

  • Sure wish Glenn Shorrock would come back to LRB.

  • im only 20 and i cant stand the shit on the radio i havent turned the radio on in my truck in over a year..

  • on this song they almost sound like blood sweat and tears but i remember when it came out

  • I lived in Japan when this came out...it was a hit, even there! Brings me back...sigh!

  • I don't know where people find the time to construct these well thought-out comments with beautiful music impatiently waiting for you to let it play.

..wait, then how did you write your comment?....

    uh- awh man,

  • @stevietire71 What did he do to get locked up for 80 years? 0.0

  • @Jaguaism He voted for Obama. Not good.

  • this goes out to dennis wayne hope who's locked up for 80 years in livingston,TX

My buddy, with balls of steel!!!

  • @stevietire71 Yeah, way ta enable yer dumbass buddy. I bet yer a dykwad just like him. He's prolly in his cell rite now streaming this song on his computer and all tha neighboring cells are rockin' out, just like you and me. Real smart assh*le.

  • One need only pay close attention to the drums; the vocal harmonies of Beep Birtles and Graham Goebbels; the flawless control they have over their guitars; and, of course, Glenn Shorrock's superb vocal performance. After all, he DID do most of the writing of their material. They MUST be amongst the top 100 bands of their genre of all time - globally.

  • @rickcoram1 agree!

  • reminds me of Jim Norton he is funny, a laugh or two

  • Yes, I've heard of this guy but I think he finally gave up.

  • Obviously you are not from Texas. As Lyle Lovett fellow Texas Aggie says "Thats right you are not from Texas. But Texas wants you anyway." :-)

  • For years I thought these guys were American. I guess that's a testament to how much they kick ass!

  • @Jgeneraledger23 aussies..........

  • A song about me?

  • u hit the button cus u reconize the name then as it plays u kno all the words. what better way to listen to ur memories

  • Sounds great

  • This song is awesome

  • The best part of this recording is way all of their voices sound so great together. The a cappella bit at the beginning is just awesome and Glenn's voice just flows like water.

  • who can not like this?? obviously peeps with no cred. Like your post there burnoutbob...keep rockin' bro

  • @viletree

Haha kid. I'm listening to hardstyle for like 24/7, but I can tell ya that the best songs ever are made by the Little River Band! ;)

  • Music is like beauty.

  • Favorite porn sites?

  • This song sucks so horribly, annoying vocal lines, laughable lyrics, from a style of music that is thankfully dead. Fuck this crap

  • @viletree HELL NO YOUR TAST IN MUSIC IS HORRIBLE THIS SONG IS CLASSIC go back to your gay ass JB and hannah montana and your stupid rap

  • @viletree Rack off, you knob jockey.

  • bad ass jam the kids will never know about

  • I've got the fever, for the flavor, for more cow bell!!

  • @robgodwin1972 i've got a fever and the only perscription is more cowbell

  • This song would be even cooler (if it isn't cool already) if they amped up the cowbell a little more. You can barely hear it.

  • This song would be cooler if they amped up the cowbell a little more. You can barely hear it.

  • little river band

  • Reminds me of the movie, " the loved ones" australian horror, thriller

  • Reminds me of Jr High School at the roller skating rink!

  • I'm the guy who get beaten by the Queen of Hearts every time......*sigh*

  • same here byrd

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Love REAL music!

  • Man, I miss these days...Good to hear this song again!

  • Todays Music has NO substance, Lady Gaga??!! F%ck that, THIS group put out MUSIC!!

    They have NO TASTE

YOU will never find an album with a

    "PARENTAL ADVISORY" on it

  • Does anyone know if this song came out in 1978 or 1979? If they do please comment!

  • I can remember each time this song came on the radio ('79-'80) my parents would drop everything and rock out.....

  • I heard this song on The Middle. I'd heard this song many times, but never knew what it was called, and now I'm falling in love with it all over again. (I'm 13, and I think it's amazing)

  • very entertaining bass line ...

  • This is a great song. It strikes me as a hybrid of Beach Boys harmonies, Kansas instrumentals and Supertramp lead vocals and lyrics. Definitely a product of its time.

  • Good clean rock 'n' roll! I love this song!

  • Haye you heard about the American Loser??? They still keep on trying...lol!!!!

  • Arnold is the lonesome loser now. Anyone see the article about his new "love child" with the help.

  • This brings back memories. I can relate to this song. "Unlucky in Love" has been the story of my life. But luckily, I still LOVE MYSELF! so unlucky for those who rejected me, is what I reckon!

  • @kimbow555 I TOTALLY AGREE (I thought I was the ONLY one who is "Unlucky In Love") Yes this song brings back memories to me as well!!

  • 5 people are lonesome winners

  • @mitsumivec4life LOL WINNERS??

  • I r young kinds of, may i have teh thumbs ^?! Seriously, we get it, our parents didn't use headphones and we enjoy oldies, i still enjoy modern music(though very little rap and even less hip hop). This stuff has gone through forty years of filtering people, the gems have been saved, the rest dismissed, there is plenty of garbage back in the glory days.

  • i am this.

  • thanks for the good times

  • wow a song about me

  • @guymanunc me too!

  • o you will find someone, my friend. loser you aren't. u have many groupies.

  • One who has ever been a "lonesome loser" can really relate to this song. I remember hearing this song when I was a little girl and it having a powerful effect on me then. Little did I know that I would one day be and live the life of the "lonesome loser." Nobody understands that there's really no such thing as a natural born loser. Only somebody who's unhealthy in such a way that that's what they seem to be from the outside. But that's never a person's real self. It's only a distortion.

  • @stitchesful your so right, what a great view.

  • @MrRev2011 Thank you! I just wish that all those out there who have been pegged off as a "loser" had somebody there to tell them this.

  • @stitchesful so true. aka me.

  • @DiLeMaFabrications Thank you also.

  • @stitchesful are you hot?

  • @gojenson What the hell is that supposed to mean? Come on! I'm trying to make a serious point here. I don't want that to be made impossible by somebody's smart-ass comments.

  • @stitchesful are you sexy?

  • @sammyb2113 Well, what do you think? As I said here, I was once pegged off as a "loser" and still am to a degree, so what are the chances that I would be "sexy" or "hot"? Does that answer your question? Now would you please get off this trip and allow the message of my comment to come through?

  • @stitchesful I've seen some pretty hot nerds, losers are similar arent they?

  • @sammyb2113 Beats the hell out of me.

  • @stitchesful I really only came here for the subtle change in harmony at about 3:16 but then I read your comment.

"Only somebody who's unhealthy in such a way that that's what they seem to be from the outside" aren't they projecting what they really feel about them self from the inside to the outside. I think so.But it is a distortion. I hate being a human. It's all too complicated. If I signed up for this I don't recommend it.

  • @TheLeastDiseased Thank you for agreeing with my comment, but I'm sorry that you hate being human. Maybe I do too, but I'm still determined that somehow someway I'll be able to be truly healthy and happy in my life, the way I know we were all meant to be. Being human is complicated, but if you can find the answers for yourself and experience the happiness that comes with that, then it's well worth it in the end. But finding those answers is no easy task. Maybe we make it too hard.

  • @TheLeastDiseased Additionally, do you have some issues of your own? If you feel like talking about anything, I'll listen, but not here of course. If you want to talk, let me know, and I'll give you my email.

  • @stitchesful So, Dr. Stitches...it's looking like your comment is really bait. I suggest people shove themselves out the door so that they don't qualify for this song. Like I said, I really only came here for the harmony. Thanks for the offer but no thanks.

  • @TheLeastDiseased Hey, look, I'm not trying to "bait" anybody or to be anybody's psychiatrist. Believe me, I have no interest or intention of that. You just sounded like you were dealing with some of your own pain and problems, and like you might need somebody out there to listen and understand. I was only making an offer of kindness, I wasn't trying to "pick anybody up" on YouTube, trust me. So sorry and PLEASE don't let me bother you or keep you from enjoying the harmony.

  • great music from a great era!

  • great music from a great era!

  • we used to wear the albums and tapes out now u might wanna hear a song or 2 to the whole cd!! so lucky to be a child of the 70s~we got the best 70s n 80s blew us all up!!!!!

  • the 80's just plain rock...STYX, LRB, we can go on and on.....the writing was great, and the melodies matched up pretty damn well......the folks that are 50 or so, know this....anyone younger than gets this type of tunes are just awesome. they get it....it was about song writing and QUALITY, not what sells......I was there and it was pretty damn awesome....

  • @hawk1866 im 15 and i listen to 60's 70's and 80's rock. it is so much more appealing and relaxing as well as just better music in general. i can't stand todays music. its complete garbage. the "musicians" write the music just to make a quick buck. i hate it with a passion. i often get called gay and get made fun of for the music i listen to and i haven't met another kid my age who listen to the music i do. but i love the music! i wish i was born 40 years earlier so i could experience good music

  • @burnoutbob2345 I hear you & I TOTALLY AGREE!!

  • @burnoutbob2345 no music is garbage if it comes from inside of you, its a very personal th

    ing........

  • @burnoutbob2345 me 2 i was born in the wronr year

  • @zacefronandwiggles me just out of de womb me moar impresieve than u hurrr durrrr ewilrlkrewjrjngergregerg

  • @burnoutbob2345 weah bro i listen to to this shit and new shit dont listen to mainstream you blind fuck underground like AOTP and Immortal Technique not fucking dance music that mainstream calls 'rap'

  • @hawk1866 dont worry what people say about your taste in music i grew up thro these years and ill tell you it was the best it had meanning and soul you dont need to been born then to enjoy it its never going to go away its hear to stay

  • @burnoutbob2345 I got you beat. I'm 14 and listen to 30's COMEDY music! Lol Spike Jones reference. But I love all types of R and R!

  • @burnoutbob2345 dont worry about getting teased.. they'll come to realize one day what they were thinking about.. your experiencing the music now.. the only thing you missed then, is the times that went with it.. your time is now.. make the best of it..

  • @burnoutbob2345 who cares what they call you.

  • @burnoutbob2345 It sounds like you are experiencing good music. Why would you want to be born 40 years ago?

  • @burnoutbob2345 I wish you and that fake ass comment would leave youtube forever !!!!

  • @burnoutbob2345 What do you think of lady gaga?I think that she writes thought provoking music. i mean her music isn't relaxing and appealing as reminicing by the little river band. I can remember being 9 or 10 when reminicing came out and the lyrics and the music is soooo "remniscent" of a cooler calmer time. That song and so many songs like it make you think of a soft sun summer day with a breez and cool drink. Right off stephen perry and "journey come to mind. Elton John nt/gay i aint either

  • @burnoutbob2345 You are officially awesome.

  • @burnoutbob2345 Rock on! Keep on listening to the classics! And don't pay attention to what your classmates say. Once you graduate, chances are you won't seen them again. If you don't mind me asking, what are some of your favorite musical groups?

  • @burnoutbob2345 hey Burnout i was born 40 years earlier and unlike my generation you've had that extra 40 years worth of amazing music to draw on. when i was 15 all we had to look back on was C&W and Lawrence Welk! anyway you're listening critically, outstanding

  • @philTheEskimo1 for @burnoutbob2345 I was born at 60' when the music of this group issued i was 17 years old at 1979 the winter of that year at my country never gonna forget about the music of this group

  • @burnoutbob2345 Good music can be found in any era. In any genre. You just have to look past the crap. There are a lot of terrible artists from this era, just like there are now.

  • @burnoutbob2345 Don't worry about being called "gay". Gays create culture.

  • @leftatalbuquerque that's sick

  • @flahr1 Pop culture - art, What were YOU thinking? Something bacterial or yeast-based, no doubt.

  • @burnoutbob2345 NEVER let anyone call you names for the music that you listen to. They are the ones with the narrow minds. I should know...I liked Culture Club cuz I though Boy could really sing....and I feel the same way about Lady Gaga.....and I'mm the double nickle (55).....I've heard a lot of BS over the years, and one thing remains the same - good music is good music - no matter who plays, or sings

  • @burnoutbob2345 ...rock on, dude!!!

  • @burnoutbob2345

i often get called gay HAHHA, I got called 'gay' for NOT listening to THIS music! I loved Streisand as a kid. She is a big loser though, now.

She is madly in love with Obama.

Keep listening to THIS music, you wont end up being a sucker.

  • @burnoutbob2345 I'm the same way, but no one calls me gay. I'm a girl though. I love listening to old music, like prince or meatloaf or the little river band. They're all good. Glad to know I'm not the only young person to listen to real music.

  • @burnoutbob2345 thats the good thing about music.....its there forever.....all ya gotta do it find it...

  • @burnoutbob2345 hahaha dude ive been listening to this stuff since i was 13 i know how you feel

  • @burnoutbob2345 There's plenty of us that do. Just look at the comments of almost every old song on youtube...

  • @burnoutbob2345 LOL!! I am JUST LIKE YOU. Everyone makes fun of me..Today's music is HORRIBLE!!! I am 16. When people ask me what kind I listen to..I'm like: "You wouldn't know." And they don't..I even tell them people Like: Dottie West, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, LRB, Steve Miller Band, Foreigner, Blondie, ETC THEY DON'T KNOW!! I cannot find anyone else my age who likes oldies like me. Sickening.

  • @hawk1866 70's were better, that's when this came out.

  • mythic song! me getting older and older, and this music just staying the same young power!

  • couldn't agree more the prob with a high percentage of to days music is its SHIT theres no morals so f it

  • this is such a great song and such a great band it never gets old

  • @MrMitchy01 you are so bloody well right! this song is just great!

  • my dad took me to this concert and we got the cheap seats on the Alabama River when i was just 15 and i loved it!!! Old school music is the best! Roll Damn Tide!

  • Everybody should love this kind of music! I'm 16 and this is probably one of my favorite genre of songs. Classic Rock FTW!

  • WOW! were has this been? LOVE IT!!!

  • Great Track !!!!!

  • Loved this LRB song when it first came out in 1979 and I still love it today.

  • Yeah...somewhere long about 1990 pop music "jumped the shark" and splintered into a hundred fragments...most of them pretty worthless. Glad I'm not in the radio/music biz anymore. As I get older I enjoy a much wider variety of "pop" music going all the way back to the 30s now. "Lonesome Loser" was a huge song just as I was getting into radio. I'll never forget it or stop enjoying it or LRB!

  • Damn! ...I loved the mid/late70s U.S. pop-music scene. ..And this classic Top-40 Hit is one of the hundreds of reasons why!

  • @98strewberry thats always good to hear.

  • There is lots of good stuff out there now because so many talented people are creating music, but this stuff has a special flavour that one doesn't always find.

  • Good Gambling song!

  • Oh how I love this song!! It is just so freakin amazing!! Always loved this one!! LRB put out some excellent songs!! This song takes me back to days of true happiness and innocence. I miss those days. My heart just aches for those days. What a time that was! Never to be forgotten! There was a magic in the air back then that you just cant feel today and that is a real shame. This song is pure magic in itself!! Missing those days but hold the memories in my heart forever!! ☺♥
