I recently started using this netbook model. It works very well, it is light weighted and you can install any software as if it were a desktop PC. After using for some time, I think this is an ideal model for travelling because it is small and handy. However, the main observation I can make is that it heats over a reasonable temperature. With a cooler fan the problem can be avoided but at the end when you want to use it for travelling you have to carry the cooler fan too.

vista and a via processor...what junk. spinning hdd and now you have crap. Asus eee pc kills this mini with xp sp3 which is twice as fast as the Vista Os and an sdd drive (8 times the shock resistance)and lighting read and wright speeds.

The only problem stopping from buying it is VIA C-7M, damn this CPU is so old, requires more power and it's weaker. I still remember benchmark, VIA C-7M 1.6Mhz there at the same level as Celeron 500-600Mhz. Remove VIA chipsets, put inside INTEL monster we all gonna buy it. Overall this one has be best design for now.

I agree. This notebook is a dissapointment with VIA CPU at 90nm. To hot, to slow and because of that, to much energy hungry. Boot time is horrible. Built quality looks good, to bad they messed up with that crappy CPU.

Offer me the same notebook with Intel Atom for 400€ and I'll buy it.

I hope MSI Wind does better.

In my opinion even Eee 701 4G model is winner comparing 2 this one...

Top line HP model in Europe probably will be up to eur 800 and what do you get for it: UMPC wich is much slower then Eee on XP and additionaly double more expensive!

If they change processor and accordingly battery life goes up to 4hrs plus...and lower the price of top model to Eur 600 then they may appeal...
