@VettMan07 You're never putting weight on the handlebars in a turn, or trying to brake hard. Slight inputs when countersteering, loosen grip. With that in mind, turning the bars in whatever direction tilts the bike in the opposite direction, but also keep in mind that you want your body positioned in the right spot during a turn, depending on speed. Its like running really fast then darting your body in the direction you want to go, except the bike is your legs.

@bigs201078 Yeh the gixxer K5 for me was the better gixxer 1000 , they seem to have gone backwards after that model . As i still cant work out why they would make the newer models slower. But going back to the kawa zx12 , well its no longer made , and im sure in years to come it will be demanding fortunes like the H2, Z900. ETC

I've owned a R1 and I currently own a 02 ZX12 and there is a bIig difference between both of them. My R1 was quick and would probably hang with my 12 maybe 1st through 3rd gear but the 12 will kill it on top end. This guy this 12 probably didn't see the R1 coming up on him because if that was me I would have drop down a gear or two and would have walked his ass down.
@cubedmack. I ran a 09 or 10 ZX10 last week and he tried the same thing and I walked him down. Oh, and the only thing I have done to my bike is remove the catalytic converter from my stock exhaust pipe. Other than that, my bike is stock. I think people still sleep on ZX12's especially the riders with the newer zx10',R1's, CBR 's and GSXR's. Wait till I put on a exhaust, air filter and power commander.
@whiskeythrottle333 After second gear there is no need for the clutch at all to up shift just bip the throttle. You can down shift with out the clutch too, but you have to sync the gears almost perfectly.
I also have the zx12r and I upgraded from the R1.... Performance on the 12 rocks the R1 all day... The R1 is still a great bike and deserves respect... My buddy has a busa and he can only beat me in the corners... Otherwise on the open road he is toast!!!! The nickname for the 12 is the busa beater and the hayabusa crowed hates the true reality of it!!!!!!!!!
I've owned both bikes and I like both bikes. The R1 is a flighty, bucking bronco with massive torque and and an unconfortable riding position. The 12 is a long low super fast hyperbike with a raging top end and will beat a busa, it doesn't like tight corners but loves fast sweepers and is very roomy, it has a crap tank range but has presence on the street. Pros and cons.
@56yqc ZX-12R likes corners very much as soon as you swap 200/50R17 to 190/55R17, and then just trust the grip and lean. I had ZX-12R 2003, BMW R1150R Rockster 2004, Yamaha R1 2007, now back to ZX-12R 2005.
