For a 28' boat, 3" seas are BIG traveling at 30 knots plus. 65 knots in 3'-5' seas is insane in anything under 45' long! (and not too bright at 45')

JFTR, when seas are 5', wave height from trough to crest is 9', because seas state is measured from sea-level to crest, and the trough dips 4/9ths below that.

when my dad and me go fishing we have been in some pretty big waves and we would be the only people on the lake but our boat(27 foot aluminum hull) would almost tip over all the time. the boat we got is a river boat but where spending some time in nevada.
