  • Tell me your exact set up I have a 99 f150 and I go to a redneck school and I need to impress some people. My truck is all stock now. Is yours true duals or not. Also how do you install the purple hornie.

  • @moparenthuz - It is true duals. The piping is 2.25". 18" Purple Hornies glasspack bottle. And I removed all 4 cats as well.

  • @TherrienH how bad was this driving in cab, can I talk to the person next to me or is the drone ridiculous.

  • @moparenthuz - I'll admit the drone was quite bad with this particular set up, It's not ridiculous but you may have to raise your voice a bit. If you have the pipes exit out the tailgate that might change but since mine were out the sites they were noticeable.

  • @TherrienH and your gas mileage

  • @moparenthuz - As far as I know any true dual set up should get more gas mileage from stock. But without the cats and straight through mufflers you will notice a little low end torque loss.

  • what mountain range is that? looks almost like the nc mountains

  • Hey man sounds nasty, does it have a drone when your crusing like 70mph?? Im looking at getting some kind of glass pack becuase my straight pipe gives me a headaache when i make the 5 hour drive back to my home town twice a month and i want that loud drone gone.

  • @heathmeador - yes it did, other then straight pipes this is as loud as it gets so it had quite a drone, if you can afford it I would highly recommend one of the smaller Magnaflow mufflers, their straight through but they offer sufficient muffling when it comes to loud trucks, try the 11" or 14" body mufflers.

  • Did you set the purple hornies at the middle or in the back ?

  • @GTAcarfan - Just in front of the rear axle

  • @TherrienH

    Great thanks :)

  • @TherrienH ahh i see thats a nice setup and one of the most beautiful sounding trucks out there with out a doubt

  • why does it have the f250 rims

  • @EFFINHILMER - Its the 7700 version, In the later versions of this truck instead of calling them F250's they called them the 7700 version, 7700 meaning the payload

  • Comment removed

  • 2003? not a 97-99?

  • @wardubo - Its a 2003

  • @wardubo that body style goes up to 03

  • @beastly789100 - 04 actually, they made the Heritage Editions in 04 with the same body style.

  • at 3 seconds it was a diesel for a little bit lol

  • @washburn1192 - and i'm supposed to give a shit what you think? you dont like it don't bother commenting

  • Hey man i love the sound of you truck what do you have done to it

  • @backspace384 - Engine wise, nothing. pretty much everything on this truck was stock on this truck. for the exhaust, it was 2.25" piping from the manifold, converters were removed and i had two 18" purple hornies glasspacks.

  • Should of kept the hornies. Sounds so fucking good. Louder equals better. Fuck the cops. ;D

  • Sounds like crap. Go up to 3 inch piping.

  • @Pkumar1923 3 inch pipe on a small block, yeah good choice....not. Bigger isnt allways better, and back pressure is a good thing...

  • You from B.C.?

  • @Bmk87ca - yes

  • What the fucks a cat?

  • short for catalytic converter look it up

  • Damn that sounds good!!! Too bad in my state i have to keep my cats BOOOO stupid ass emmission laws the damn ice caps are gunna melt anyway

  • Yea got the same laws here but I don't exactly live in the city so i put them on anyway, got flowmasters on now so its a lil quieter

  • @TherrienH ohh man you shoulda stayed with the hornies they sound so epic

  • yea but the cops didn't quite agree

  • @TherrienH I had a friend hollow out his cat and put a single 3 inch pipe inside. To make it look like a cat. Ill have to try that out...

  • @thetypezero that gunna pass inspection? i hope it doeslol if it do i will do it 2

  • @shamuslauer1 - well i live in a small town so i didn't really care, but in my newer vids you'll notice i have flowmasters on there now, was a little loud for the road trips

  • @thetypezero - well it just depends on the regulations where you live i guess whether they actually inspect the pipe or they just peek underneath to see it its there.

  • ive got one of these on my 91 k1500. no cat, just straight piped duals. fuckin gnarly.

  • Yeah once you remove those cats they get pretty damn loud

  • i love that crackling raspy yet agressive sound from these glasspacks

  • N for newb haaha

  • This is by far the best exhaust system ive heard so far. I too have a 5.4L F150. However me, being a typical teenager, need to get my truck out at the most awkward times of night without waking anyone else. However, i also like showing off to friends. So, is this exhaust ALWAYS loud, like even at idle? or does it stay relatively quiet, until you get up around 2000 RPM, and THEN get loud?

  • Well at idle it sounds pretty much like any other dual exhaust set up. BUT, this is where the story changes, when getting around 2000 rpm's is where this particular set up gets pretty damn loud and where the loud rip comes in. I only recommend this if your in a small town or something because if your ripping down the road even if your not going fast people WILL notice you especially the cops and keep in mind that all 4 cats are removed on this truck

  • @TherrienH

what if i were to leave the cats on? Also, last question i promise, what kind of performance/fuel mileage do you get from this?

  • Well if you notice on my page I have a video with the same set up but with all 4 cats on. Currently i'm now running no cats with Flowmaster Super 40 series mufflers which i also have a video of, performance wise i just noticed a drop in low end torque due to the straight through set up but not a big change just noticable same with the mileage so i didn't really mind, now i own a 2003 SVT Lightning so i tend to drive that more for obvious reasons.

  • What did you do to keep any check engine lights off? Didn't the computer freak out? Very nice sound though

  • Yes the engine light did come on, but last winter I put a new engine in and ever since the engine light stayed on and couldn't figure out the problem so I didn't really care if the light came on

  • did you try taking off the negative on the battery? Sometimes that works....

  • no i never tried, it doesn't really bother me so I just left it as is, and the truck is parked now i'm driving my Lightning

  • good you took off the cats ha! i got a 98 gmc sierra with 2.25 piping manifold back no cats 10 sweet talkers 3.5 rolled edge tips get a video soon ha your from canada too nice im from alberta!

  • yeah my cats were getting clogged anyway, and i'm from british columbia

  • damn... that sounds awesome

  • yeah it did sound awesome, but i think you and i would agree that it was a little too loud haha, nice 5.9L by the way sounds nice

  • Haha no way its not too loud. But every truck around here is like that or louder so im just use to it i guess Lol and thanks

  • Yeah she can blow ur hearing aids clear outta ur noggin.........lovin it lol.cops will have a thing or too to say lol

  • nice.. pretty lound in the cab is it

  • very

  • so loud it blew off the tailgate lol
