Overall fifa is probably slightly better - although there is not enough depth in gameplay and already I am considering selling it...
PES...I own PES6 and don't feel the 2012 version is better - its worse in terms of gameplay. Its clear that PES is improving though so hopefully in a few years it will be an amazing game again??
last Saturday I see real madrid spain league was playing at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, when I immediately turn on the X box 360 I immediately play PES 2012 with a team of real madrid and I chose the Santiago Bernabeu stadium I put a camera broadcasting live! I'm shocked! how similar those two things! OMG I fell in love with PES 2012
hi I'm from Indonesia, the country 98% PES, PES 2012 as I assess up to do when playing winning eleven 10 in ps 2 but PES 2012 is very satisfying for me, I was thrilled with the games that are realistic and PES 2012 provide that, for the PES 2012 you want to feel like we watch live football on TV, try using cameras broadcasting live, and set the speed to be -1 or -2 you will feel the real football!

FIFA is only realistic from an aesthetic point of view, eg. animations and graphics. FIFAs dribbling, is still far too samey, lack of player individuality is evident. On PES, Messi feels dangerous, due to his low centre of gravity allowing realistic high speed turns etc... The only thing that seperates players on FIFA is physical attributes, like speed and strength. Otherwise I feel the players are more or less the same. I love FIFAs new defending though, takes skill now imo. Plus GKs are >>PES
Totally disagree with some points about PES. In no way whatsoever, is PES any faster on the lower speed settings than FIFA. FIFA even on Slow, is way too fast. Pes on -1/-2 is perfect and very clearly slower than the slowest on FIFA. The high scoring matches is not an issue for me at least, I play on Top Player, and have a fair mixture of results, from 0-0s to 3-3s but never a disproportionate amount of high scoring affairs.
I wasn't going to bother with either of these games this year as I had lost faith in both companies over the years but after watching your reviews I decided to download both demo's and I'm definitely tempted to invest in either one of them now - At the moment I'm leaning towards fifa but will give it another day before I make my decision - Thanks for taking the trouble to review these games.

Fifa fan since 2001 for ps1 they have come a long way. Fifa12 is a beast the show stoper has arrived . Best sports game out.

Jon Murphy I believe hinted on twitter that if a unlicensed Bundesliga is put in the game, it could mean legal problems for Konami so it's unlikely.
