@lollygay1988 So what law did not allow you to call it "Marriage"? What statute or law was it that fined or jailed you for calling it that? I'm not interested in what the state called it? Hell I want them out of the Marriage business all together. It is none of the states business. It is none of their business if I marry a cat. But if I want to marry a woman I have to get a license? That is a restriction not freedom. Get the state out of all marriage.

@nukester What is normal? Same sex marriage that half of the time ends in divorce, leading to broken homes? Yea, thats normal. I am straight but I am 100% for gay marriage and I cannot wait until this happens everywhere in the country.

Why is this good? 2 Weeks ago you could 'as a Gay in NY' marry freely. Now you need a licence and have to pay a fee $. How is this progress?

@kcphaid We were only allowed to have a "Union" not a "Marriage". by letting us marry gives us over 1,300 rights that we were denied.
