@helloiammojo He did have an OBE but i dont know why they didnt knighted him he did far more for music then any other did ( except for neil young maybe? ) and he saved england and the world from the beatles!!
There is Slash, steve vai, zakk wylde, yngwie malmsteen, kirk hammet, and jeff beck... but then above all THERE'S JIMMY PAGE!... WOW THAT TALENT IS JUST UNMATCHABLE !!
@AuroraSunset I'm not sure as to the model but the guitar is made by an american company called Danelectro. Page used his primarily for open tunings. Later on, this is the guitar he used for Kashmir.
a by Page himself modified 1959 Danelectro DC-59 (made out of masonite wood, Pagey has changed the bridge into a Quann-Badass one so he was able to change the neck position, furthermore he changed the hardware into nickle-plated stuff). Two DC- Lipstick Singlecoil pick-ups.
I've learned how to play 3 different versions of White Summer/Black Mountain Side (this is one) and I wish y'all would stop posting this song cause I'm frustrated as hell trying to learn them all...
Jimmy is an a@@hole...lol....they just don't make musicians like him anymore who play the same song 1290 times in a row the same every time...he will play it 1290 different ways...damn him...maybe I should change my musical views and play pop bieber radio but honestly...I haven't learned a single on
ther are maybe better technically guitarist BUT page did it all first the best riffs studio techniques and this... a masterpiece more emotion and feeling in it than a mom holding her just born child i will defend jimmy page against every other technical superb guitarist cause he is the symbol and the best guitarist that everyone who will ever play an instrument should know and realise that JIMMY PAGE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST MUSICIAN ALIVE
@graynomas SO YOURE THE DICK ASS WHO DISLIKED THIS YOU CAN GO HAVE SEX WITH JUSTIN BIEBER IF YOU ASK ME! LED ZEPPELIN IS THE GREATEST BAND EVER YOU SIR HAVE NO TASTE!
This takes me back to my first Led Zeppelin concert in 1970. Indescribable unless you've seen them in concert. I loved the acoustic set they did with White Summer/Black Mountainside and Babe I'm going to Leave You. No other bands or performers I have seen since could possibly compare to Zeppelin in concert, not even close.
Everytime I pick up my 63' dano shorthorn, (just like his) it makes me automatically play kashmir and Moby dick, and it has this exact tone, which I always thought was crap, but its, its own obscure awesomness
I love see Jimmy Page play guitar,he is master,my influency to all life with you Jimmy page, you know much about make rock in roll. all right, yeah hard rock, alive the Led zeppelin band:one of the best band in world:
i've attempted to learn this song so many times, sadly, this song puts you in a dojo of the psychadelic times that seem to have completely dissapeared.
guitarist make themselves. they just dont have any modern day influences this talented to learn from they only have a bunch of faggots like the jonas brothers (pitiful)
@tombolo191 They do, people like me, my dad, my uncle, thousands of people, it's just there's too much shitty mainstream music (hip hop, rap, etc) and not enough of the good stuff anymore, but if you look you can find it.
I thought my self out of my mind to compare nicolo paganni and jimmy page but now you wrote it, it makes me remember that they both were "supposed" to be involved in dark things, I thinks is a crap, if you are a genius you are a genius period
Absolutely. People who speak of Page's involvement in "dark things" are just jealous that they could never do anything comparable to what he can do with a guitar.
Funny how they always talk about Page's "dark stuff" but a lot of rock musicians were interested in the occult. The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Black Sabbath (obviously) all expressed some type of interest in the occult, or Aleister Crowley. It's not such a big deal, really.
