  • She should be in the kitchen, not wasting ammos on the concrete floor...

    ... oh wait, it's a movie!

  • YO STUPID FUCKS..!! IF YOU ARE A VAMPIRE WAY IN THE FUTURE WITH DEPLETED URANIUM .50 AE FULL AUTO PISTOL'S...!! HELL FUKIN YA... YOU CAN DO THAT...!! :p

WOOD POPO GUN TOO MUCH AMMO..! MAN WT THE FUCK YOU GUYS ARE EVEN DOING....!! :D

  • 4:00 The only flaw in this video is them

  • the beam is the key point.

  • who watches mythbusters because kari is hot?

  • the floor beams wasnt that thick.. so yeah :D

  • my god its a sci fi horror movie if you want to bust myths like this ones go and check out star wars then

  • At least Kari was hot:)

  • HE IS DRILLING IT !

  • REDO IT!

  • Looks like this attempt of busting a myth, is seriously flawed.

  • Are you taking into account that she is immortal? Redo.

  • you are doing it wrong

  • i read somewhere that all vampires are ghey just sayin thats part of the problem here

  • Did anyone hear the narrator say "Beckinsdale"?

  • If you have 360 round to fire into the ground, why not go out all guns blazing?

  • the bullets they were using weren't rate for werewolf hunting like the movie

  • i think the werewolfs would have been having a rather tasty meal by the end =)

  • Best. Job. Ever xD

  • The funny thing is, the shooting through the floor scene was lifted from an earlier move that came out in 1992 called Nemesis.

  • counter strike? :3

  • Thumbs up if U were hoping to see Kari in a catsuit (with guns, of course)...

  • ''He empties one clip''

How did they make that Mp5 feed from clips?

  • the floor in the movie was thikker

  • Does Tory look good in a PVC bodysuit? My guess is no, but Carrie would!

  • @Blexine carrie would look good in a birthday suit!

  • YAY HE MENTIONED COUNTER STRIKE

  • if there was no support beam in the movie, she didn't need to shoot...she'd have fallen through when the floor collapsed anyway.

  • amatures!

  • did he just say Kate Beckinsdales???????????? :o

  • Anyone other firearms GURU's want to say not clips they are magazines? I like to say clip just see how many gun geeks pipe up.

  • its called a pistol/rifle/weapon, not a gun

  • @policevancan you're gay.

  • it's called a magazine not a clip.

  • counter strike ftw

  • Yeah, the floor looked like some kind of stone, but of course it's not only stone, its armed beneath it too.

  • He can't do it because he isnt kate beckinsale.

  • 1. If I had that many bullets, I would not be trying to escape :)

    2. These are not clips, these are magazines. Clips are simple metal brackets that hold bullets for guns like the M1 Garand. Magazines are basically a serial spring loaded hopper - a design that succeeded clips.

  • COUNTER STRIKE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mythbusters shooting holes in floor

mythbusters shooting holes in myth is mor like it

    hahaha bad pun

  • 4 people tried this and got eaten by werewolves

  • They should make a machine to shoot enough holes to make a circle around a human sized target so you don't have the aim of the shooter to take into the equation, its pretty simple really it would be much easier (though possibly dangerous i'll admit) to shoot a "circle" around you if your standing right in the middle then you standing from any other location and trying to shoot the circle.

  • The support beams means a lot to the result. They should have removed that error to the experiment, and tried again. To big error factor to ignore.

  • 1) There are obvs supportbeans in every floor or you would fall through.

    2) There was no point u really think it would work with pistols if it didnt work with a shotgun and a submachine gun?

    3) Lul

    4) It wasnt about how many bullets he wasted. He clearly shot a good circle around the weight.

  • 3:08 da wittle bwitch

  • 2:13 GGGAAAAARRGRGR!!! It's not clips you fucking cocksucker!

  • Obviously what you'd use in this situation is a lightsaber. Everybody has those, right? ;)

  • C4 on the floor. end of story

  • @angya777 Doesn't matter if its more powerful, he wasn't using the same gun. She is a Vampire who has lived hundreds of years as a warrior. I'm just saying its a silly myth to do. Testing the abilities of fictional beings and all. Also, a SMG doesn't necessarily have more stopping power then a handgun, and because it was automatic half of each round was just hitting the same spot.

  • @slayerofkin "I'm just saying its a silly myth to do. Testing the abilities of fictional beings and all. " I thought the idea was to determine if the physics of the guns and bullets would even permit for it. I suppose they could've built a machine to do it that would fire in a perfect circle, more perfect than any human could ever hope to accomplish. Even then I'd still bet it wouldn't work as seen in the film -- too few bullets and those beams.

  • 1) There was no support beam in the movie.

    2) Wrong gun

    3) He isn't a vampire.

    4) He wasted half the ammunition shooting the sames spots.

  • @slayerofkin I cant say about your first point but for the others I think you're wrong. The gun Torry uses in my humble opinion is more powerful than the two guns she is using in the movie. What does being a vampire have to do with anything? And last - that was the only way to perforate it and he still had to jump on the floor to brake it

  • @slayerofkin and they didn't even use silver bullets

  • @slayerofkin Ye wrong gun but In the film she shot abot 30 bullets from each m9 and a m9 doesnt hold 30 bullets a clip so its fake anyway

  • @slayerofkin Because a gun gives a shit if its user is a vampire or not.

  • @hoodenmcburg i would care if i was a gun

  • @slayerofkin

    1) The movie was fake

    2) The movie was fake

    3) The movie was fake

    4) The movie was fake

  • @slayerofkin There were support beams in the movie. If you look at the movie scene you can see she shoots through a cavity floor, which is only practical if you use timber joists, especially if you have such a heavy floor system like ceramic tiles.

  • @slayerofkin 1) compare wood and concrete. 2) It use the same 9mm bullet like gun in movie. 3) What special about vampire? have u ever see a vempire? 4) Idont have any thing to say :D

  • @slayerofkin

    1) Your a Troll

    2) MP5 uses A similar round to the ones in the movie

    3) the Floor in the movie was thick as shit.

    4) Considering he used 360 rounds with help of the shotgun i dont think he missed anything,

  • @slayerofkin And he's not Kate Beckinsale! lol

  • @slayerofkin

    1) Yeah, the floor was concrete not wood sooo..... yeah.

    2) This gun is stronger and holds more bullets sooo... yeah

    3) Yeah, being a vampire gives you magical floor crushing powers sooo... yeah

    4) It's fucking impossible, go to sleep.

  • @slayerofkin I agree.

  • @slayerofkin Wrong gun my ass. She had some 92's in 9mm. He's using an mp5 in 9mm.

  • myth confirmed. ask the jews

  • Wait, the floor in the movie wasn't made out of wood, was it?

  • @Son0fHobs it definitly was wood

  • @Son0fHobs Yea, the floor was like 40cm concrete and it probably had a metal support frame in it! You know it was probably old soviet era building, if i remember it correctly. Either way it surely wasnt a wood.

  • @Son0fHobs it was wood covered in tile laminte

  • @Son0fHobs Actually, they made a concrete floor out of wood. Are you still sane?

  • @Son0fHobs it wasn't

  • my problem with this is not the suport beam.but the fact they didnt get 2 beretta 93r's.

mythibusters u guys slacked off.btw torry sucks at cs.

  • Woah, Grant is a CS player! Fuck yeah!

  • @GlitchesofWar Tori* but good efford there mate (;

  • @hazu007 Grant is the one who said "Tori gets to live our his CS fantasy". I doubt Tori would play CS though, Grant is probably projecting himself onto Tori.

  • @GlitchesofWar Lol why should he do that? :D And why do you doubt that Tori plays CS? (:

  • @hazu007 Many people talk about their self in third person to portray something about them...

  • @GlitchesofWar Maby, but that dosn't mean that Grant did (:

  • @hazu007 You're right, they both could play CS (I hope) :)

  • @GlitchesofWar Hehe yea, could be awesome to play with them xD

  • shouldve used a .308

  • mac 10's would help, not one assault rifle, not to mention it was farther from the ground.

  • Use Mac-10s next time

  • Okay, are they using jackhammers and pilebunkers? Because I'm not seeing any ejected cartridges from the MP5 and I can't seem to comprehend how you would have enough 9 mike ammo for 30 minutes of full-auto firing.

  • thumbs up if you see the smily face

  • Ron Pearlman prob said... "F-in waste of AMMO !!!".

  • wood bends this is why u cant prove this that way...

  • it wanst plywood u DUMB CUNTS!!!!!!!!

  • Wow these guys got too much time on their hands.

  • @2010Barbon They get paid more than most of us to have fun. Good enough.

  • @bladerunner12 you gotta point there. Lucky fuckers!!

  • You should use the Dillon M134 Gatling Gun.... 50 Cal

  • @SultanMehmed It's the same-ish thing just depends how you look at it....

  • @MrTrollGuy2 actually, a clip is something that bullets can be packaged on, the magazine however is totally different in that i feeds rounds into the weapon, so not really "same-ish"

  • @coraxeian Clips go in hair. Magazines go in guns.

  • @Deviantblade88 cute, but you must not be farmiliar with what's called a stripper clip, which is a clip that holds typically 10 bullets

  • @coraxeian Ask anyone who's professions include the use of firearms as a day to day aspect of the job, and they will call it a magazine as well. Ask a Marine if he puts clips or magazines into his rifle and see what he says. Just because rap calls a machine gun a chopper doesn't make it the correct terminology for it. Using the term clip for a magazine is a common mistake of civilian personnel.

  • @coraxeian At any rate you replied 'a clip is something that bullets can be packaged on' So since a magazine feeds rounds into a weapon, a clip would be useless for anything other than carrying ammunition in BEFORE you put it into a magazine so the magazine can feed the rounds into the gun. unless it's a belt fed weapon. So even then the clips would only be useful until you loaded your magazine, which would be right before you went into combat. Who goes into combat without enough magazines?

  • @Deviantblade88 false. many older weapons are be loaded with clips. you would attach the clip to the weapon, manually shove the rounds in, and then remove the clip. now you could say that the weapon system has an internal magazine, but it is nothing like the typical magazines used today.

  • @pballskatelax I'll give you that. But that's OLDER weapons. Are you runnin around with a Garand?

  • @Deviantblade88 am i running around with a garand? no, but my friend has one.

  • @pballskatelax Also at any rate, that hardly makes it the norm for modern guns, if we go back far enough some guns were crank turned, but none of that has anything to do with modern weapons. Granted some guns used clips, but how many out of the thousands of firearms produced? Definitely the exception, not the case. So for todays guns for all intents and purposes 'Clips go in hair, Magazines go in guns.' True.

  • @Deviantblade88

Magazines, by definition, are ammunition dispensers that contain a spring loaded follower. Belt fed firearms held together by links are essentially clip fed weapons and there is no shortage of them.

  • @Deviantblade88 go ahead and do your research on an M1 Garand, i'm sure you'll discover they're putting a CLIP into the rifle, and not a magazine

  • @coraxeian lol as R. Lee Ermy said, "Clips go in Magazines"

  • Why the fuck are they calling it a clip??? It's a damn MAGAZINE!

  • She used magic bullets imo

  • they are not clips, they are magazines, plus waist of ammo

  • The question is not 'Could that lassie from Underworld have really shot through the floor and then fallen to safety like a Warner Brothers cartoon character?'. It is 'Is it possible to shoot through a floor, cutting a disk out and then fall through to the floor below?', taking its inspiration from a film.

  • twelve puppies were lit on fire at 2:11

  • I never saw this scene as anything but some slick fun for the movie, but if they wanted to test it, they'd need to examine and recreate the flooring, then set up a machine to spin the same type of guns around in a tight circle. Then add the weight and see if it busts through :) mind you, I doubt it would, but that would seem a better way to examine the hypothesis. My 2 cents.

  • could kinda be possible i mean in the movie whose to say she's not using special bullets. never the less its a movie its entertainment let it be.if bullets can tear though doors an walls i'm pretty dure it can burst a hole though a rusty old floor .

  • common guys ... busting movie-myths? is it the end? poor.

  • kari should of done this myth mmmmm lol

  • They called the magazines clips.

  • It 's amazing that people actually think what these "set builders " do is "scientific". They never do anything in a "scientific" investigative manner. Shooting through floors means: "shooting through floors" (not floor joists). Does anyone really think you could shoot through a floor enough to make it cave in with 40 bullets? There are so many variables on this: Bullet size ,fullmetal jacket or hollow point ,gain, type of floor thickness, etc.

    "sillyness" not "science".....

  • Haha "Kate Beckin-stale"

  • @Perpiris FMJ is a weapon perk that allows the bullets to go through walls

  • @CaramelBreakfast lol typical COD answer. a FMJ bullet consists of a lead core covered entirely(sometimes the bottom is left bare) by a copper jacket. then we have a total metal jacket which is completely all around jacketed

  • @Perpiris You play enough Mw2 to think that FMJ is only in MW2

  • @sminmorph Full metal Jacket.

  • i wish I could live out my counter strike fantisies...

  • That's a giant support beam! Obviously this would work - thinner the floor less ammo/caliber needed; the thicker the more bullets. Just look at the episode with the minigun... not going to tear through any trees with a 9mm obviously... not a very good myth to test.

  • laser beams would work just win :)

  • well the cross beams under the plywood were thick, maybe if someone shot around then kicked down

  • ermm im sure you kicked that through... cheating scumbags

  • @jgjg093 they kicked it thru cuz they knew the myth was already busted, why pursue a lost cause?

  • Beckinsale*

  • @Perpiris whether they did use them or not he is still right

  • @Perpiris lol maybe

  • maybe if they used magic berettas that never run out of ammo like in the movie it would work...

  • you need FMJ duh

  • At times you must wonder if they are just advertising the movies they choose to test a myth on.

  • if the ground wasnt be holding up by the wooden bean it was a piece of cake

  • Tory: Pew Pew Pew . Grant: Pow!

  • an ak47 should do the trick ^^

  • Tory finally gets to live out his counter strike fantasy.

  • Not only are they using far less accurate guns, they're firing them from further away, to top it off, the floor in the movie was very old tile, compared to very new wood, to top things off, in the movie she's using silver bullets, which tend to mushroom, they should have done this test with hollow points if they wanted to be accurate, not saying that the myth isn't a myth, just saying they need to at least try and be more accurate in testing.

  • @SamHHVT The MP5 is more accurate then both of those pistols she was using. She shot through tile, and a few layers of concrete. I don't know if concrete looses it's integritty over the years fast. Hollow points are actually worst at shooting through objects, compared to FMJ's.

  • @esh325 Concrete starts to go quicker than you'd think, but yeah, the hollow points would probably just distribute the damage over a wider but shallower space, but I wasn't aware of how good the accuracy was on the MP5, thanks for the info.

  • @esh325 other than some weather cracks. concrete continually hardens. it never cures

  • This only works if there's no beam...

  • it only worked ...because she was a girl ...they do freaky shit like that

  • and u know in the movie they used congreat and marmor instead of wood

  • That looks like the newest floor.... Didn't had old floors in the movie? XD

  • wouldnt the werewolf kind of kill tory by now?

  • Beckinsdale?

  • @Triral7 DINSDALE?

  • @docmart71 It sounds like hes saying Beckinsdale instead of Beckinsale

  • @Triral7

  • @Triral7 well I thought You meant the piranha brothers by Monty Python's Flying Circussssss look for "Dinsdale" on Youtube :-)

  • @docmart71 DINSDALE

  • They should've used hollow points.

  • @theDrache Yeah, good idea, but what if the ceiling is made of concrete? wolfram-carbide shells? (if You like it, hollow point....) :)

  • try an RPD or a 50cal

  • @DragonoftheEastblue3

yea but the myth was using a pistol... so the mp5 is a pretty big jump already

the idea is to be practical not to go as overboard as possible

  • @Jojojojof Mp5 uses 9mm pistol rounds idiot

  • @Ralphgtx280

yea but the mp5 had 360 rounds... plus they used a shotty...

    hmmm 40rounds vs. 360 rounds....

  • hm... kari would be HOT in a PVC bodysuit =) (especially if it was skin-tight and she was naked under =)

  • @MackanOwns yea and stick it the freezer for a couple minutes so you could her um... yea

  • well in underworld (gosh it was a crap movie.) she shot thru 1 foot of concrete with a 9mm. if a 9mm could shoot thru 1foot of concrete then y the hell wasn't it blowing the people she was shooting in half... anyone who believes that, either get a life, or learn something about guns

  • @pontaduck87

Uh... because its science fiction genius.

  • @DavidUmstattd

really, never would have known. my point was bullets powerful enough to tear through 1 foot of concrete should rip people annnd there werewolfs she shot, in half. i d c if its sci fi, it just annoys me that they cant keep up with what they portray in there own movies. like cant shoot through a door or plaster board but can shoot through concrete.

  • @pontaduck87

Well you know that Mythbusters test myths and get paid.....

  • @pontaduck87 Probably the same people that play MW2, and think that a CheyTac Intervention is something you can - or would - run around with...

  • @pontaduck87 She also didn´t even use FMJ, they used somekind of glass bullet filled with all kinds of shit (and glowing blue) that would kill a Werewolf or Vampire...that would smash against a cocrete floor and leave nothing but a stain.

  • @pontaduck87 But BTW...higher penetration power would actually make it LESS likely to blow you in half...because the bullet will simply pass through you doing very little damage. How, if the bullet has lower penetrating power, it is much more likely to bend, tumble, rip and shred through your tissue, making a much bigger hole on the other side.

  • @pontaduck87 So out of a movie with vampires and werewolves; you think the shooting is unrealistic...
