OK. I'm sorry but I've only ever grown up to the PS1 version of this so I have a few questions here.

1) That -HAS- to be the PC version right? The font is different for a start, there's no way of changing that on the PSX, so this is a logical conclusion.

2) What's with the music? This has to be overdubbed, not from the gameplay itself (bar the ending).

So 3 (or an amalgoration of 1 and 2) Is this the PC version? It has to be the PC version, right?

@SyrenWulf Answer 1) This could be the PC version, but it could also be an emulated version of the PSX release that's been "hacked" just for fun.

Answer 2) The music is a version of the FF VIII boss theme by The Black Mages. (The original composer of the whole VIII soundtrack is part of that band.)

Amswer 3) As I said, it COULD be an emulated version of the PSX release. Though is could be a modified PC version.

heh...i just realised how i never got to see the animations for each spell on FF8...perhaps because of the draw system and numeric limits for each spell...i've spent so much time in gettin 100% of each spell i wouldnt dare to spent a single unit and lower my atributes, just to spend more time drawing and gettin that spell back xD...man i hate that system ;_;

It could be possible to mod ff8 pc version which expands more possibilities than gameshark can but I don't know of a way to do this on the pc version, you can try Balamb Garden utility; there's even a website that talks about mods for the ff7 and ff8 pc versions. I'm pretty sure those are still alive.

The codes dont work for PC, but I'm pretty sure you can do way more with PC than just have the enemy on control. For example maybe changing limit breaks amongst mobs or adding them to your characters etc.

You can get some codes from "King Edgard 0" ffviii enemy control codes for shameshark (PSX version). The PC version is completely different and I've tried hex and it just crashes; the good thing about the PC version is that you can modify everything, if you have some programming background.
