Deadly smooth, greatness needs no more to be said.love ALL this mans posts on youtube.love the old school.Warren put us up on some MAZE.I know you know.
Wow this is great! I thought I had seen all your videos but I must have missed this one. Did I hear Warren say he played in a band in the 70"s? Which band? How did you guys meet?
@Farris287 Yeah, we do our own thing this way. No sense in getting mixed up in the technicalities, we just enjoy the music.....missed chords/out of tune guitars/off key singing and all. It's more of a comradery thing and just having fun.
I am humbled and honored to watch this (head bowed). This is a REAL as it gets folks. Pay attention. This type of creativity isn't captured on any medium very often. MORE history in the making indeed : ).
warren has a great voice, but this song sounds a little out of his range. ah just kidding. he usually hits those high notes pretty well, he must have been tired. I know you guys had been drinking when you recorded "voyage to atlantis," were any other videos recorded like that? Does being tipsy help or hinder?
That just shows how good Ron Isley is on the mic. I had him singin all weekend cause we went on a weekend trip out of town and this was Sunday evening when we got back to Milwaukee. Beer always help your playing too.
Wow that was weird. For a few days my comment was gone. Anyhow, thanks for always responding. Can you get Warren to elaborate on the intro to this song? HE plays it so fast and I can't really tell what to do, sorry, I'm a novice.
@PLUMBdogg man, this man is INCREDIBLE. He is a one man show-heck, he doesn't need other instruments. This clip made my day. Boy, you are lucky to know him and hear him
Hi Derek, you and Warren are a great team of guitarists I always learn something from both of you. Warren wow what a master of lush rhythm guitar AND he knows how to explain it which is great. I am jealous of that Strat with the Univox PU too ha ha. Keep up the great work guys. By the way I just got my BSIAB2 board from GGG that is my next effects project.
Hey thanks Bill. I wish I had all those vintage guitars you got! I liked the BSIAB2 kit alot. I gave it to my Dad as a gift. As for the tone of the strat...it was running thru a solid state 10 watt Vox and a Univibe clone and it did sound "lush". The strat has as much Soul and Warren does.
Warren needs to put out an instructional dvd on how to play old school music. How did he learn, Self taught, lessons? And who did he play back in the day?
Warren is THE man. Some people play but Warren feels the music. I'd love to know his history. It made me laugh when he broke into Todd Rundgren's Hello. I was only listening to it two days ago on the tube.
What other gems does Warren have up his sleeve. Keep 'em coming PLUMBdogg - great stuff.
hahaha the minor7 to the minor7 to the minor7 .. I love it..

Love this video.
There's a sincerity and honesty plus a distinct Eddie Hazel feel.
Technicalities mean very little. No need to analyse..just listen.
Peace.

The chords he's using for 'Hello It's Me' are certainly different than both Rundgren's original and the Isley's cover; some nice jams tho-
