@AlecW1234 I think that there are a lot of people who have very particular ways to interpret this piece, and this guy has a lot of strange articulation and dynamic things that aren't written in. I'm all for creative interpretation, but this guy has taken a lot of liberties on different things, which might bother people who have performed this piece.
@IxWxSxProud Valid point. I'm actually learning this piece right now and definitely did notice that. If I had to say anything I dislike about his interpretation it's that the changes make it hard to use this video as a learning tool haha. But as far as simply listening to the piece and enjoying it (learning it aside) I think the interpretation sounds good. As long as the orchestra can still comfortably follow him I say no foul on the soloist. :)

Probably disliked by violinists who are biased against violists, no matter how awesome they may be.
