My friend and I had this arguement. She's an atheist (used to be Christian) and she claims to believe in science and all that, but still claims to believe in Ghosts and Spirits. How the fuck does that work? Ultimately she's contradicting herself, is what I think. I'm not an atheist, but i still don't understand her reasoning.

Since the theme fits, I can share this: In 2007 I was taking a walk at a graveyard 4-5km from my home and everything was like it is everytime; just peaceful walking and thinking about stuff in silence. Then I walked to the stairs of a church, which is at the south of that graveyard, you can see a river there. It goes between Finland and Sweden, by the way. So I sat there and suddenly I heard an old man talking in pretty old style, he was asking about some funeralservice I think....
I agree. Both religion and ghost and this shit is in my opinion the biggest bullcrap ever. People who belive in this, is all people who dont want to belive in the hard truth, we ar all going to die, and this is the only life we have.

Spiritual realm is something that's believeable but i don't think it has much to do with ghosts. Shamans are linked with nature and all it's resources and through meditation and "spirits dances" if you well, can take their mind to a different plane and talk to the dead through a mental state of mind. i think we can access the spirit world but we can't bring the spirit world to our physical realm.

This is such a simple concept that can be easily proven. When you eat food, you are taking away energy stored from a dead organism. You use the atoms of that organism to replenish yours(create new cells etc). Notenoughspace

I don't think psychics are real, most of them are frauds. The ones that do have gifts, hardly brag about it and charge a fee for it. It's a psychological thing, for them to make money off of your emotions at the moment. It's complete bullshit. I believe in spirits, but people take this psychic thing too seriously. I have my own belief system. I think that people take into this too much and are ego maniacs, or crave attention so much, they want this to be real for THEM. Hope I made sense.

Based on everything I have seen, I have absolutlely no reason to believe in ghosts, but plenty of reasos to not to believe. If you aproach all theese sightings and demon posessions or what ever from a skeptical view theres always multiple ways it could have been faked or misunderstood by people.
I do personally believe in ghosts, but not in the religious sense of the term. Personally, I've seen things in my life that are unexplainable. When I was seven years old I had conversations with a red-eyed man who was looking at me through my window, who turned out to not exist. I once was on a Christian missionary journey and I saw demon-possessed people like crazy. So I would say that I believe in spirits.

True story: At a church, I had actually seen a possessed woman.... she sounded like she had someone else inside of her, it wasn't her voice. There were like dogs outside barking really loud. Sounds funny but its true. This church was like in the middle of nowhere in the outskirts of the city. I went there to ask for directions n I decided to take a nap. there's a reason you didn't feel shit (and I wouldn't either). Ghosts, magic, stuff like that - they don't exist. But there's something like the placebo effect to it. If you strongly believe, that this can work, you mind might accomodate it and you might actually feel better, because your brain's confused. Based on everything I have seen, I have absolutlely no reason to believe in ghosts, but plenty of reasos to not to believe. If you aproach all theese sightings and demon posessions or what ever from a skeptical view theres always multiple ways it could have been faked or misunderstood by people.

I do personally believe in ghosts, but not in the religious sense of the term. Personally, I've seen things in my life that are unexplainable. When I was seven years old I had conversations with a red-eyed man who was looking at me through my window, who turned out to not exist. I once was on a Christian missionary journey and I saw demon-possessed people like crazy. So I would say that I believe in spirits.
Am I the only one who could listen to this guy talk all day?

Totally agree with you. I mean even if there are ghosts, wouldn't they have something better to do than tell some bullshit artist on TV how they are doing? I do believe a bit in ghosts, because I thought I saw my dad's friend who passes away when we were packing his house, but I think it was just caused by emotion, but hey Im open to stuff. Yeah those techniques are called "cold reading" where they wait for a reaction and assess it to make up a ridiculous story. Anyway keep the good vids coming.

I had a spirit Reading a few weeks ago. and you know she goes do you beleive in this kind of stuff and i was like no way its all fake.... and shes like ok thats fine then she tells me someone of the stuff ive done in the past and present! and at this point i was freaked out, i was like wow how?? she said to me that our guardian Spirit communicated and yeah she made me believe abit :)

True story: At a church, I had actually seen a possessed woman.... she sounded like she had someone else inside of her, it wasn't her voice. There were like dogs outside barking really loud. Sounds funny but its true. This church was like in the middle of nowhere in the outskirts of the city. I went there to ask for directions n I decided to take a nap. So, when I woke up to the noises, I saw this lady, 10 feet away from me crying and speaking gibberish. I just had to get the fuck out of there.
