the lines of the pending breakup are quite evident. mccartney in near isolation. lennon paling up with harrison as a natural alliance against mccartney. ringo caught in the midst of it all.

That's a silly conclusion. They're all working together to finish an album without exhibiting anything out of the ordinary in terms or behavior. It does make me wonder what great and awful truth about their breakup has been hidden for all these years because it clearly didn't start with the these recording sessions.
