I love Gymnopedie No 1 as I play this on my Korg piano, from the Kenneth Baker Complete piano book 5. I never knew, there was even a Gynopedie No 2, until my son pointed this out to me recently. These are without doubt some of the most beautiful and haunting melodies you'll find anywhere. And wonderfully played with dynamics and expression. Stunning!

It's close to nostalgia, but you can't put your finger on it, am I right? It's nearer to loss I suppose. Loss when it's in minor key, then it switches to major and confuses the emotion. This is my favorite recording of this piece. It is wonderful, especially the slight accelerandos in measures 6-8. I listen to this piece for inspiration and relaxation.
