Oh good question its because that yellow alarm bell stops and cuts off the voice theres a softwere problam with this lift and its not working at its best thanks for the comment

the reason why the bell is coming up i because the phoneline is probably down and the maintenance company hasnt bothered to sort it.

I have just found a Gen2 With the same problems... IN TESCO! it works normally, but it has the yellow alarm light lit up. It also has a small plate saying to hold the alarm button for 5 secs. and then you will be in contact with someone. Probably broke a few times before (like most Tesco Lifts!). Also has a terrible squeak when leaving the 1st floor.

and its a 2005 model, like yours so i think that Gen2 and the Tesco one is from the same batch, a bad batch (either that or a bad case of Windows Crashing Again!!!)

wow, I never knew Otis elevators had those types of doors!! I love those desinghs and I love the seed of them. Great video, LOve the cool coulour for the otis elevator. Makes it look nice andrefreshing and cool.

Thanks ive never seen this door on a otis before but its a rubbish lift because its not looked after by otis anymore and it stunk of oil!!! dont no why because its machine roomless thanks for the comment!!!

Great video and Good qaulity. I love the image processing unit and that elevator has just the right tone for the voice just like the Otis 2000s and I love this video and the elevator! Great video.

Thanks i know it really sounds like a 2000 but i found it a bit slower but it does not make a much noise as a 2000 thanks for the comment!!!

Ive checked and I'm pretty sure this lift is no longer maintained by Otis. Barclays use another company for maintenance of their lifts. The lifts in their Canary wharf HQ were installed by Schindler. Their former HQ in Lombard street were all Otis.

Ahh so thats why thats bell is apering because the other company probaly do not no how to program the bell to only come on when the alarm is pressed thanks!!!

i didn't know that Schindler did bad maintenance jobs

Kone know though. They maintain Otis Lifts and Escalators in Debenhams.

Thats the second Gen2 with a problem that i have seen. there is one near me in Matalan that has a faulty Door Close Button and the doors take forever to close

Door close buttons are strange some are not even doing anything and are just for show. Shops usually have longer door times for disabled access wheelchair users and old people. The doors are also damaged by staff who use these lifts to move stuff in cages when the store is closed

Well, the lift in this shop and it's only a 13person lift. It's not a hotel with 20 lifts and a Miconic 10 Controller.

The yellow alarm bell should only come on in theroy when the alarm bell is pressed. Its probably a glitch in the software or has been setup wrongly. No need to worry its only a light behind the indicator. It will not affect the performance of the lift

The Rem (R)emote (E)levator (M)onitoring system has become so advanced that Otis Remote engineers can reset Lifts and fault find from a computer anywhere in the world. This means if you were stuck in a lift and they could fix it remotely you would be released in a few minutes. Otherwise you would have to wait for an engineer to turn up who should have been told the cause of the problem and things to check by the remote engineer on route.

I know this signal appers on a daily bases i agree it needs to be fixed , butthere is a sticker on the pannel what ses that its moniterd by otis 24 hours a day, it scared me because the lift stopped when that bell apered thanks for the comment
