when you are going on the internet and you are not near bt a router, do it give you a warning that it will cost or something so i or my friends dont waste alot of my money? and the compass, when you are outside youre house and dont have internet. do you need to pay just to have the map feature or can you just downlaod some maps so you can use it without internet? Plz answer this, thanks.

yes its free if you have a data pack included in your plan.

ie. most iphone plans include data and depending on how much you spend on the plan the more data you get therefore the more downloads maps you can get.

and of course it is always free on wifi

Yes but AT&T is not ready to release it yet, it is supposed to be activated towards the end of summer, it will be free with any text bundle

Yeah it was a little creepy as I was driving in my car and it moved smoothly across the map view

Well the iPod Touch has a "locations service" and I was thinking: pssh, it can't find me it doesn't even connect to GPS, just wireless. I turned it on and it located me exactly!! So there's a way. Yikes... they say public technology is at least twenty years behind what they're developing behind closed doors.

lol I wish I could. Thing is i'm only 13 years old and my mom credit, well lets just say sucks! lol, But yeah I tried to get the iPhone 3G last year had to pay a deposit. Att said it would be $500 deposite. So we got the 500 dollars ready and then they said it would be 750! AT&T SUCKS! But yeah maybe this year things will be different! I want a black 16 gig. But if I can't afford it then i'll just get the 8 gig for $99
