Starvation mode and starving yourself are two completely different things moron. If your body senses too large of a deficit of calories (even short of starving yourself), it decreases its metabolism and starts storing fat so it won't die in the near future. It's basic biology... or were you too busy struggling in special ed to take those classes?

"Substantial dieting slows basal metabolism because the body responds to food deprivation with decreased energy expenditure" (Biology Applications, 416). Take someone who's cutting with 2000 calories, and someone cutting with 1500 calories. The person eating the lower calories will actually have their metabolism slow down, and their body will store more of the food as fat. = Less weightloss.
*Assuming the same type of food (lean protein, low GI carbs, etc.) Oh, and being a university grad doesn't mean you're smart. Hell, you have a limited grasp of the english language... all university means is that you paid $50,000 and now have a piece of paper. Amen brother. I agree with you guys all the way with what foods you need to eat for your workouts. I ve changed my eating and drinking ways and i look great now.
