Waggy & Chillo; the best striking force never to play for England. I often see Mr Chilton in local shops and even approaching 70 he is still a formidably tall and imposing looking bloke; god knows how the defenders must have felt back then!
As a Norwich fan Ken Wagstaffe made an impression on me. A tubby little so and so, sweated freely, as I recall, but surprisingly nimble and skilful. A sort of poor man's Francis Lee. I remember wishing Norwich had a player like him.
Great work producing and posting these videos. They seemed to score goals for fun! I've been a fan for over 50 years and well remember those days. Still, its never been easy being a City fan! Well done.
I wonder what Waggy said to Charlie Wright.. lol..
What a team we had in those days... fond memories of those days.. meeting my mates in town before taking the train out to the ground, see the Tigers win and then pattie and chips on the way to catch the ferry.
One of Mansfields greatest, good old Waggy

As a Millwall fan, my first match was circa 1963 Millwall 5 Hull 1 but Hull won the return quite easily.
Still remember that great forward line fronm the Mid-1960's including Chilton, Waggy and Ian Butler...:)

Never could figure out why the TV position was temporarily put in the SW corner?

Amazing how quick Waggy was even though he was probably carrying more weight than would be ideal.
One of the great natural goalscorers.

I was working in the south end turnstiles for 2 years of this team (I was still at school). What memories your video brings back.
Thanks so much for this.
