I just got my copy of this album today, and it is FUCKING AWESOME! The first two tracks are sort of annoying, but from track 3 on it just gets better and better. An excellent example of what Omar can really do with a little musical freedom.

I still love the album, though.
Only if I could feel the same away about top 40 as the way i feel about TMV. i envy all the simple idiots out there who can turn on the radio whenever and hear something they like.

I've been listening to the CD non-stop since I got it the other day, and it's safe to say that Noir is pretty much the most sporadic song on there, and it's not too sporadic, (much to my disappointment though).
The band is not basically the mars volta because Zach hill is the drummer, who in my opinion is the best drummer in the world. check out the band "hella" they are awesome

Probably, he did vocal work for 8 of the 11 tracks thats gonna be on this one. Also, the music was recorded in 2006 and Cedric recorded the vocals in 2008. It's likely hes already done vocals for the other 2.
I don't see how this will be much different than a new TMV album, I mean, half the band is in this, and Omar is doing all the writing and Cedric all the singing. It's going to be amazing as usual though.
so much better than everything the mars volta has done imo.

Probably, he did vocal work for 8 of the 11 tracks thats gonna be on this one. Also, the music was recorded in 2006 and Cedric recorded the vocals in 2008. It's likely hes already done vocals for the other 2.

I don't see how this will be much different than a new TMV album, I mean, half the band is in this, and Omar is doing all the writing and Cedric all the singing. It's going to be amazing as usual though.

seems rad but cedric's vox irk me a little makes it sound too much like TMV.
and i dont think zach is going all out, which makes him sound nearly the same as thomas pridgen. im sure the album will rock regardless.
