Democrat - Republican, I don't particularly care about parties. But Lincoln was a conservative and that's all that really matters. If you go back and read his memoirs, you'll see more conservatism than liberalism.
As for liberals in military service, I don't ever denegrate their service, since they are my brothers and sisters in arms. But I do criticize any ideology who believes individuals are meaningless and whose greatest higher power is government.

When you mention Lincoln and his place along the liberal-conservative spectrum, you have to take a look at what a liberal was at that time and what one is today. Would Lincoln go for things like gay marriage or abortion?
I will grant that he believed frugal tax policy and more anti-war than today's conservative movement. But if you take today's liberal and put him next to Lincoln, you see that our 16th president was much farther to the right than even McCain is today.

This is a really embarrassing video for the people who made it. I couldn't watch it all the way through, it was so bad. All I could think during the video was the inverse of these statements about the two recently high chair-sitting, diaper-wearing twits doing the voice over. The finger pointing goes both ways and having some almost-children making fun of a guy who has done as much in his life as McCain is just sad.

I don't know if McCain is older than dirt but he's proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's stupider than Mud. Doesn't know who's fighting who, thinks Iran is training Al Qaeda fighters and sending them into Iraq.
The man and Repubes in general need a serious reality check if they think this kind of intellect is what we need for another 8 yrs or so. I thought Bush was as stupid as you could get but McCain gives him a run for his money.

I'm an Obama supporter and under 30. I am offended by this video. It insults my parent's generation and ANY generation that looks forward to reaching their 70's. His incompetence should be an issue, not his age. I loved the guy in 2000, but his policy decisions for the past 8 years reflect every reason most americans are turned off of the republican party. that's what we need to focus on. the evidence suggests that this actually has a very good chance of working. in a usa today/gallup poll conducted not too long ago, 42% of respondents said they would NOT vote for someone who is 72 years old. google it and find out for yourself. and republicans, please shut your faces when it comes to ethical advertising. look what you guys did to war criminal john kerry in 2004. and to be honest conservatives are a dying breed, just look at your dinosaur of a candidate.
