I felt completely honored when a woman friend sent this to me. (I'm male) I have always been wistful about circles of woman friends. But I know the support it can offer and experienced it as I cared for my wife as she died of cancer. Beautiful video.
This video helped me get through the death of my mother as I watched how my female friends were there. With food. With a phone call at radiation time. With an offer to watch my kids. With the knowledge based on the look on my face that I needed a break from greeting people at her funeral. Truly an amazing "that is me" speech. I watch it often and it helps. It makes the time go by "just a hair faster".
Wow, what a touching speech, about the mundane in life being what is real to all women, and that we are in all aspects, social creatures there to be the best we can to our own group of humanity. This was a lovely reminder of what it is to be and to have women friends/family. Thanks from the Netherlands for keeping perspective on "our" values - be they defined for each of us differently
This video got sent to me at just the right time. After a prayer to God about how I could make the spreading of my sisters ashes heartfelt, this video appeared in my inbox. I bought each of my friends the Middle Place book & we headed off to the ocean, Deb's favorite place. As I read your words from Transcending, we laughed, we cried & we held each other up as those "Pigeons" do. Thank you for a glimpse into the struggles & triumphs of your life...you've inspired many!
Just got "The Middle Place." Looking forward to reading it. As a mother of five who married her high school sweetheart, your video is amazing. I have lost my mother, my in-laws, friends, relatives but it is the strength and courage of those who survive which inspires me.
I am so happy a friend of mine sent this to me, I am sending it to all my woment friends it is just so moving, inspirational and true. I sit here remembering loved ones that have past and new appreciation for the loved ones I still have in my life..Thank you
This video is moving and inspirational! I am 71, and sometimes thinkt the younger generation to be pampered and lacking self-discipline. This shows me they are caring, courageous and appreciative of Gods' great gift of LIFE! and FRIENDSHIP! THANK YOU, KELLY! SALLY, SOUTHPORT, CT.
