they used to let bears feed at the dump at Yellowstone, but some scientists decided it was BAD for the bears to let them eat there. So now the edible garbage is locked away from the bears, and who knows how many bears starved in the interim, and how many bears are now killed for following their foraging instincts and getting in humanity's way.
