oooowwweeee this girl is a hottie :D First, what's this angels name, second, are there any any job openings in her department. I'll take an unpaid internship if need be ;)
@EyeFiCard ow i get it.. so if i buy a verizon mifi and use this card it will always show up somewhere in Detroit.. great concept but it is not worth the extra money.
For clarification, can the Eye-Fi card communicate and work over tethering? For example, can Android and iPhone when tethering be able to transmit and upload the photos from camera to internet? In the case of Android, it'd be great too if we could store directly onto our phones.

Bought an Eye-Fi Pro 4 GB on December 29th. The Pro X2 was announced on January 5th.
Obviously I would like to trade up to the new card. I'd be even willing to pay some money for this, say 30% of the cost of a new card plus shipping. They won't even respond to my support question on this and basically gave me the brush-off over the phone.
Disappointing. It will be a while before I consider buying anymore of their products and certainly won't recommend them to others.
Update. Just got an e-mail from Ey-Fi customer support telling me that, yes I can return the Pro card so that I can get the X2 card instead. Much better. I'll post again once the trade is done.
gimmic... kind of pointless for average camera users. i can see the potential for live updating on the big screen during photo shoots, but other than that, whats wrong with popping your card out in 2 seconds...
Some work needs instant upload to the pc for... printing, studio editing, instant notetaking etc, and save time as well as hassles. Plus no need for carrying an additional card reader if you have a desktop or an old laptop.
@otivaeey printing... pop the card out. editing... card out. and wth is instant note taking? only can see card as a luxury for previewing instantly to a big screen or projector during shoots. that would be cool, but not really necessary...
unscrew tripod attachment base(blocking card cover) from camera = 5 secs
open card cover and release card = 2 secs
put card into card reader = 2 secs
wait for show-up in My Computer = 8-10 secs
Total = 21 seconds
21 seconds for one way, add 11 more seconds for the complete cycle. It is 32 seconds dude, if you are working hard with time. Improvements in technology remove hassles, not ignoring them.
The "luxury" of instant photo transfer is really worth the cost, however which I don't really agree with that cost which is dominantly stupidly high. Sorry Eye-fi, if competitiors in korea and japan got it, you got to cut prices by more than halves.
@otivaeey really though, if you need to take off your tripod to get access to your memory card, and if it takes 8 to 10 seconds for it to pop up on your computer... i would consider an equipment upgrade if you are worried about a few seconds.
@Poppinparties If you're the kind of person who thinks washing dishes by hand is better than getting a dishwasher, there isn't value for you! No product is good for absolutely everyone :D

@EyeFiCard he is just a regular guy, exactly like everyone else, it is useful for some people, but I bet it does not have a better transfer speed than the speed of a directly connected card to the computer, and Unless it lets you shoot Wirelessly tethered at least as fast as a normal usb cable it is kinda useless

These promos are wayyy too short on substance. Geotagging? What? You're suggesting the card has GPS! Well does it?
And can it send image to your computer as you shoot? Your ads don't address the obvious questions.

Please visit our web site for more details.
The card does not have a GPS chip - it uses Wi-Fi triangulation for location like the first generation iPhone.

Well, 8 - 10 seconds is a general idea of time needed. Conclusion is, eye-fi is for work and upgrade, it is not a necessary for low-end users.
