To sum up, you get the same storm, same amount of wind & rain, in August or September and call it a hurricane, people get all out of shape. If it happens in November and they call it a Nor'easter, you get the same 8 inch rain fall and 50 mile an hour wind, the same storm surge and the same flooding, nobody thinks anything of it. It comes down to what you call it. We get a hurricane here every 15-20 years so people get nervous. We have a bad Nor'easter almost every year and people are used to it

He fell down on a measly 10 inch snowstorm last winter and tried to make up for it with an over reaction to this storm. It WAS a really bad rainstorm with lots of flooding, but we have much worse weather than this in any November Nor'easter without all the hype & panic & we take it in stride.

You guys dont understand how Hurricanes work...They thought this thing would hit NC as a cat 3 and hold on to at least cat 2 strength it ended up being a 1 when it hit NC and it did hold its strength as a 1 all the way to NYC it would have been a cat 3 or cat 2 if they were right about the intensity. They were right about the track and it holding together. Hurricanes are very hard to predict.
